What powerforwards are available via Free Agency/Trades

Who are the available powerforwards out there whether it comes from trades, RFA, UFA, whatever. Who is the best and who are available on your team?

God 06-18-2008 02:33 AM

Ryan Malone, Mike Knuble (i'm assuming he's a power forward because of his size, correct me if i'm wrong), Guillame Latendresse is probably available for the right price, Steve Bernier if any team is willing to take a chance on him, Drew Stafford but only for tough top 4 defensemen, Todd Bertuzzi if Nieds and Selanne come back (I'm only guessing this because the Ducks will probably want to sign Perry), uh...are Nik Antropov and Alexei Ponikarovsky power forwards? Some guys are big but don't play like power forwards. Brian Gionta tries his best to be a power forward but is just too small :(

Anyway that's just off the top of my head right now.

MG91 06-18-2008 02:45 AM

Brian Rolston is available.

Or if you really want a big mean power forward, Taylor Pyatt could be had for the right price.

:sarcasm:

I thought 'power forward' was a basketball term?

Sure. Same thing, though.

Martin St. Louis is a small forward, Sergei Gonchar is a shooting guard. Also a point guard.

Reddawg 06-18-2008 05:41 AM

Anthony Stewart could be had for the price of one poorly sung radio jingle.

JustJoe2k5 06-18-2008 07:18 AM

Erik Cole is on the trade market.

Kevin Forbes 06-18-2008 07:22 AM

According to Darren Dreger, Tuomo Ruutu and Erik Cole are among the players that Carolina is considering dealing for help on the blue line.

There'd probably be 29 teams lining up to pitch an offer for Clowe...or Lucic... Or Brown...

I'd take Lucic in a heartbeat if Boston offered him to my team.

Would the Stars part with Daley for the right price?

Without a doubt if the right offer was presented to Jackhull then they wouldn't hesitate on moving Daley. Daley is a very fast skater and handles the puck very well. He is young kid with a solid NHL career in front of him...Now the question: What would you offer for him?

Cardiac_Canes 06-18-2008 09:58 AM

This thread starts and ends with Erik Cole. Ruutu could also be had but everyone knows he's too fragile to play that style without getting hurt. Anyways, it would likely take an overpayment to get him since we gave up Ladd to get him just a few short months ago. What a stupid trade.

Cole for Daley would interest me. Daley sounds like he'd fit into our system very nicely.

What about the rights to stillman and commodore for Cole? ;)

oilsands 06-18-2008 10:29 AM

Raffi Torres baby. Put him on the block.
