I would consider Del Zotto more like an 8.5 C....Considering his incredibly high ceiling but need for serious refining in his defensive game.

I figured.

IMO Del Zotto is an 8.0C and Gratchev is a 7.5C. I can't comment on the others because I don't know enough about them.

ill probably get flamed for this but i think that if he just improves his D a little he'll be on par with doughty and bogosian, the skiills are definitely there, and he is already outscoring them

HatTrick Swayze 06-22-2008 09:16 PM

Del Zotto-8.5C
Stepan-7.5C
Gratchev-6.5B
Kundratek-6.0C
Weiss-6.5D
Doyle-6.5C
Gaultan-6.5C

By all accounts Stepan has more potential then that.

He has top 6 potential and potential to be a prolific goal scorer in the NHL.

I'd think that6.5 doesn't do him justice according to scouting reports.

I would guess more along the lines of 7.5 B

Which by HF means second line winger that should reach his potential, but might have some holes in his game that could cause him to not reach full potential.

And i'd say that is fair because they say he has solid hockey smarts and knows the defensive side of the game to go along with his natural scoring ability.

i think he will definitely have top-6 skill but we have many young, talented players ahead of him(cherp, AA, korpedo, dubinsky, and IMO, zaborsky, hillier, and hagelin.
id say stepan and gratchev are about even just gratchev will probably play with AA and cherepanov on a higher line.

i really like him though. he's fast, smart, and he's a guy that would benefit from going the college route because he's gonna need some time, and we can see which of our prospects pan out

I Eat Crow 06-22-2008 09:30 PM

DZ- 8.5 C
Stepan- 8.0 C
Grachev-7.5 B
Kundratek-7.0 C
Weise-7.0 D
Doyle-6.5 B
Gaulton-6.5 C

Based on the scouting reports I've read anyway.

They might be ahead development-wise, but, from the reports I've read this kid has big upside skill-wise, and is probably more skilled than the players highlighted. Again, let him develop at Wisconsin, and get back to me in four years.

i really like this draft....and im extremely excited for stepen and gaulton
