40 million tied up in defensemen?

Redden Hogalot* 07-01-2008 02:59 PM

It's also on Hockeybuzz.com.

If that means anything.

Guitarded 07-01-2008 02:59 PM

I hope not.
Anyone hear anything on what Columbus might send back in the probable Kubina trade?

Entry of Redden + Exit of McCabe = ONE HELL OF A NICE DEAL!

Burn McCabe at the stake ! :P:P

Raoul Duke* 07-01-2008 03:02 PM

Wade Redden 3 years $426 million dollars.

It would be perfect for both teams. Danny doesn't really have a spot on the team anymore and we need a good PP Defenceman.

Oh man were getting Wade for almost nothing

Strummergas 07-01-2008 03:10 PM

Yay! More McCabe to the Islanders rumours! :help:

Hotshot320 07-01-2008 03:10 PM

Watching Redden last year for Ottawa, he is done. So I am sure the leafs will offer him a 5 year 40 Million Dollar Deal with a NTC. He can play with the 3.5 Million dollar finger... I am so depressed.

ClevelandJacketFan 07-01-2008 03:11 PM

Also, for Redden, rumor is that CBJ have offered Redden a 5 year 7.5 a year.

I will state that it is a rumor however.

Clock 07-01-2008 03:12 PM

So you get rid of McCabe... and then you sign Redden? Yikes.

Rickety Cricket 07-01-2008 03:14 PM

If Finger got 3.5, is Redden going to rake in 10?

kihei 07-01-2008 03:14 PM

No, not Redden. Why Redden? A veteran well past his prime--how many times have the Leafs been down that road. This is not change; it is repetition.

God that's horrible.. He'd be making Lidstrom money..

HOCKEYGOON 07-01-2008 03:18 PM

They better not

I can swallow a Finger but not a Redden.

ComrieFanatic 07-01-2008 03:20 PM

Unless Redden smartens up, he really isn't that much of an upgrade, if at all, over McCabe. I'd rather keep Kubina than move him and get Redden. Let's let someone else him Redden the money that he is looking for.

DarkReign 07-01-2008 03:32 PM

If I were a Leafs fan, I'd be awfully nervous right about now.

If Finger = $3.5 per

Does Redden get $8?!

Stay tuned.

SlowShot 07-01-2008 03:33 PM

McCabe is better than Redden. Please Cliff dont do it:cry:

TheLeastOfTheBunch 07-01-2008 04:02 PM

I'd laugh if Wade Redden got a $3 million deal from us. :biglaugh:
