Rangers - Panthers Proposal

I just read on another site that the Panthers are looking for a top 2 d-man.

Considering they have J-Bo, what about the following proposal:

Tom Poti for Kudroc and Tanner Glass

(Pasha's gonna love this)

Kudroc is, as we all know, a big defensive d-man, compared to Chara a few years ago. Hasn't developed even close to Chara but is still young and has plenty of potential.

Poti could team with J-Bo to form a pretty good pair.

Tanner Glass was a 9th round pick who plays left wing with Hugh Jessiman at Dartmouth and is listed as 6'1"200lbs.

Enough for Poti or not????

i dont know, ive hated poti from day one, but his defensive game has gotten much better and he actually uses his body in the defensive zone, he needs some work of course, but i think he has made some serious strides to be an east coast defensemen

i dont want to trade him unless the deal is that good, where we are going to get a real young player who can be a 1-2 guy, and im not sure kudroc is that guy and i have even less faith that we could develop his potential here in NY, the only thing weve developed is a taste for losing

It's gonna take more than an AHL defenseman and a former 9th round pick.

While I would love to see Purse-swingin Poti get dealt, I'd only do it if we get an established defensive defensemen in his mid 20's in return. Poti is young enough that we should definately be able to get an NHL dman for him.

Vito

What team is willing to give up that 20 something NHL Defensive d-man? Unfortunately they are hard to come by. After watching Tjutin, I believe he can replace Poti's offense and be a better d-man.

If Kudroc and Glass are not enough, what about adding a 2nd rounder or someone like Rob Globke(2nd round pick) or Greg Campbell(3rd Round pick)?
