Alex Tanguay Compilation

Youtube needed a more recent highlight package of him. I'll make a better one with dekes and passes involved when I get the time.

Thanks.

I decided to bet on things. I got 5k on each of tennis and UFC. :D

Chris Cutter 07-05-2008 11:15 PM

He's gonna enjoy to score goals in MTL since our goal song is U2 like his favorite band :sarcasm:

BTW, nice compilation.

Iyathurai 07-05-2008 11:57 PM

Yea I didn't know he could hit too! I think he must have developped that in Calgary.

He seems hard to knock off his feets, you dont learn that.

24morecupsthanyou* 07-06-2008 03:01 AM

lol, i have seen so much of tanguay. but this video just reaffirms the fact of how awesome he is and how much better he is than ryder. guy's got absolutely sick skills and is just a wizard with the puck. with so many high skilled players on our team, he'll flourish on pretty much every line but the 4th. can't wait to see him lace it up for us!

Yeah, that surprised me too!

A great video! Absolutely love the goal at about 1.25. Turco didn't have a chance. :yo:

Alex Tan....guay? Oh, that guy we got before Laraque.

Great video, great song. ATang brings back fond memories of Damphousse.

Cool vid:nod:

I think he did lots of leg work in the weight room with Forsberg. The difference is that Tanguay uses it to stay ON his feet :)

Exactly

David_99 07-06-2008 09:09 AM

He uses the same deke as Koivu and Kovalev on the shoot out. Come on guys, a little diversity ;)

Bruins fans will no doubt claim Tanguay learned his deking skills from the great Michael Ryder.

Nice vid, btw

simnorm 07-06-2008 09:19 AM

what are his career stats in shootout, anyone knows?

Kachino 07-06-2008 09:29 AM

Where is misterjaggers? I was expecting: "HAHA, you guys have a guy who's making 5.25M$ who only had 58 pts last year..."

Crusher20 07-06-2008 09:31 AM

What i see on this video is a talented guy, a tremendous wrist shot very quick, powerfull and precise.. but problem is he doesnt shoot often... If i remember correctly he is the active player with the best shooting percentage in his career.. yet he has difficulty to reach the 25 goals mark.. wich is a letting bit deceiving.

see from canadiens.com

19.4 - Percentage of Tanguay's shots to have found the back net over the course of his career, the highest ratio of any active NHL player.

Yeah, I noticed how high his shooting % was the day after we got him. It shocked me. He has never taken more than 142 shots in one season. Not even 2 shots a game.

Him and the Kosty's need to have it drilled in their head this year - SHOOT IT!

Most of those plays in that video are off the rush. He'll fit in well with our club.

Shootout stats: Tanguay was 2 for 6 in the SO in 2005-06, 3 for 7 in the SO in 2006-07 and 0 for 2 in 2007-08

How many of those were against Luongo?

Can you really change a player's mentality of passing first, shooting second? I always thought that was in the genes...

Shabutie 07-06-2008 09:52 AM

I had to mute the song, but the video was better than pretty much all the other comps I've seen of Atan.
