Pick the next Ranger to be gone before camp

I 100% think Hollweg is gone before camp.
Orr and Aaron Voros will be flanking the 4th line in games vs the Divison and Ryan simpley wore out his time in NY. Prucha would be my second guess because of a trade for a top 6 winger

Synergy27 07-06-2008 12:16 PM

Let's put it this way: If Ryan Hollweg is in the opening night lineup, I will eat a foot long and a knish off the floor of Section 407.

I'll remember this :)

I don't know who would trade for Hollweg, though. He's a lightning rod for league disciplinarian attention.

I wouldn't be shocked if Prucha or Cally were dealt, but I hope not.

Dagoon44 07-06-2008 12:26 PM

The kings or Avs like those little tuff fowards. Going out on a limb i will say Hollweg to the Flyers off waivers at the end of camp

Celestial Black 07-06-2008 12:29 PM

Waive Holly, trade Pru...

HAPPY HOUR 07-06-2008 12:35 PM

Move Prucha and Hollywood. Gregg Moore and Tommy Pyatt are prospects that can also be used in a trade.

FromDubiToZherdev* 07-06-2008 12:38 PM

Buh bye Sjostrom and Hollweg:)

Carlos Ranger 07-06-2008 12:44 PM

When are we going to realize that Prucha will not be traded? If he's survived this long, he's here to stay.

Agreed. If they've held onto him this long they might as well see what he can do in a (possible) top-6 role.

I dont think Sjostrom is/should be headed anywhere. I liked what he brought at the end of last year, and his speed will be useful in the type of system the Rangers are looking to play this year.

Ih8theislanders 07-06-2008 01:13 PM

Hollweg no doubt.

Do you honestly believe that Prucha is here because Ranger brass wanted to keep him OR that perhaps nobody else wants him? You don't think that teams are beating down the door to land him do you??

NYReign 07-06-2008 01:29 PM

Hollweg then Rissmiller

I second that.

John Torturella 07-06-2008 01:57 PM

For me, its been Hollweg for a while now. The best thing he's ever done for this team is get hit by Chris Simon. He is always taking penalties that KILL the team. Kind of like game 3 vs. Pittsburgh. I dont even want to get into that because I will just get angry. That penalty should definitely be the final blow to Hollweg's spot on this team.

That's pretty f*d up. Guy could have died if the 'swing' was a little higher or lower.

Yeah, I really don't get the Riss signing. Especially with Fritsche here, there's really no space for him.

Agreed.

Guy plays with passion and he can skate and hit.

Unfortunately, he adds no offense (though it seems he should be able to add a liitle) and even though the league put him on a "watch list" for boarding he just can't seem to stop doing it.

When I first read that, I thought you were talking about Ryan Callahan. I was like ***? Then I realized you were talking about Hollweg.

Fedor Tyutin was traded. Can you honestly tell me you saw that one coming?

Don't be shocked, stranger things have happened this offseason.

Yeah, I definitely agree with the "watch list."

That's why his value is negative right now.

NYR Viper 07-06-2008 03:39 PM

hollweg AND prucha

In The Flesh 07-06-2008 05:26 PM

Hollweg practically makes the league min., is a great team guy/loves the team, Renney likes him/is one of his projects, and he can skate really well and can hit. His cons, we are all well aware of. I will not be shocked if he's on the team next yr. Now I'm not saying he should be or making a case for why he should be. In all likelyhood thou, he'll probably be in Hartford, as there just is not enough room in the lineup for him. I doubt he gets traded thou. He's also a good call up, injuries will happen and he can step in a play. Everyone who thinks HOllweg will be gone, think again, not on the Rangers?, possibly, not in the org.? Nope.

Nope, I didn't.. and yea, Sather will trade just about anyone if the right deal comes along, but I'm just saying I don't think Prucha is actively being shopped as much as Ranger fans seem to think. If he survived on this team through two years of guys like Shanny blocking him, why would he be moved now when he finally has a chance to show what he can do with full time top 6 minutes?
