Remaining UFA's

I was wondering if anybody came across an updated list of the remaining UFA's. Or is there any really left worth talking about? Also are there any RFA's that aren't under contract yet that may be worth throwing some money at?

Fedorov
Sundin

ALl that matters, imo.

Waiting for Sundin decision.

If needed, BG will get someone with an exchange.

Eklund had one up the other day...

He had 44, 43, and 42 points in the last three year.
In 2006-7 he did 43 points playing 19:56 per game (4:22 PP per game).
Best case he gets 41 points. Worst case, we have a Samsonov...

Lapierre had 18 points in 53 games (like 27 points in 82 games) and can improve.
Chipchura had 11 in 36 games (25 points in 82 games).
Give them the same time on ice and one of them (may be both) will come with better stats the Fedorov.

At almost 39, we can only expect Fedorov to go down.
At that age, there is only one player I can see with our team: Koivu!
This may change if Kovy stays with us three more years.

Anyway, BG has already said he has not lsot hope with Sundin.

Its either Vancouver (for the money) or Montreal (for the cup).

We have to remember that if Sundin is comtemplating retiring, then he has already decided that he does not need the money.

In my mind its either Montreal on the 100th year or retirement.

I am happy Detroit got Hossa. Sundin is a better fit for our team .

Fedorov kicked ass in Washington. Fedorov would be a great 3rd line center if Sundin doesent come. Fedorov is a former selke winner he knows how to play defense against the best and was above 55% in the faceoff circle. Please dont compare him to Samsonov looking at points is a verry simplistic and innacurate way to judge what Fedorov brings to a team.

Guys...you should start relaxing and enjoy the summer...we are not signing any other UFA except maybe Sundin and if we do it will be late August or early September....

Well I don't see Fedorov improving us that much. He is going to be 39 in Dec 13th.
He has steadily decreased his production. On the other end, Lapierre and Chip are improving while playing very little.
Yes Fedorov did good. But our centers can do the job.

Sundin is the only guy I would see at this point.

Sundin is definetly the number one option. But if he's not comming I'd rather send a guy like Fedorov take a defensive faceoff over any of the guys we have right now late in game 7.

Thanks for the list, theres still some good guys avaible

Bryan Berard- replace streit on the pp, i think he could floursih in a offensive minded system like we play

Ladislav Nagy- a goal scorer for 2nd line Tangauy-Koivu-Nagy gives koivu a sniper in Nagy and a guy that does both in Tangauy, seems like a good fit

Selane- same reason as Nagy, Tangauy Koivu Selane line would be sick

Rhett Warriner, Jason Smith- Give us some character and solid D. They're a little on the slow side but have a ton of heart and toughness

Teppo Numminen- Simular to Hammer good at everything but not great at anything

Even Modry could work. I just relly think we need another D man and theres still some good ones out there. A solid vet dman will help us out tons especially with 2 young goalies.

Sundin or nothing

With all the D-man signed by NYR, one seems to be expendable: Marek Malik

Can't imagine NYR keeping:
Redden,
Roszival,
Kalinin,
Mara,
Girardi,
Staal,
Strudwick...and...
Malik

Malik is a towering 6-6, 240 pounds of +67 since the lockout. He can contribute just about 20-ish points in a season. Last season was affected by the injury bug which limited his play and ice time.

Was earning 2.5M.

Would roundup our top-4, no? Just imagine him paired with Hamrlik...

Think the odd man out will be Strudwick who I wouldn't be against in a role of #7 but Malik will ask for too much money that we can't afford if we're still waiting for Sundin....

There's hope and certianty. Federov is a certianty the others are "hopes" as far as your stats go.

For the next 2 years anyway and both Chirp and Lapi are less than suspect as far as their development. In my book they are busts - you can save this because I am going to save your reply.

Get Federov now.

Are you seriously just joking with us in all of these threads? Please, tell me you are.

I agree with getting Federov, but Chipchura being a bust? Gimme a break dude.
