Hagelin - should be higher based on total potential IMO. But I understand that other posters value proximity to potential over the level of that potential.

By the same theory, add Gaulton.

Bluenote13 07-09-2008 03:14 PM

It was either Hagelin or Zaborsky at this point, and i've actually seen Hagelin play.

I tend to disagree about Moore and Byers, I'm not as high on them as others are.

With the depth and talent we have in the organization, such as: Cherepanov, Anisimov, and Grachev to name several. Added to Dubinsky, Zherdev, Korpikoski, Dawes, Callahan(to a lesser extent), Fritsche, Sjostrom... Byers and Moore basically have no long term future with this organization...

Needless to say, i feel they should be much lower on the list.

I feel there is a big difference between guys who are ready or have some games under their belt... and guys who are actually going to be long term difference makers.

Dupont. Add Parenteau and Soryal.

Dupont, add Soryal.

bmoak 07-09-2008 04:27 PM

Baranka. Add Gaulton.

Parenteau is not a prospect under HF terms. He's played 5 full professional seasons, which is way over the limit.

dank 07-09-2008 04:58 PM

Hagels Bagels..

Dupont.

He's a big kid who does a little bit of everything. He'll check, he'll pop in some points, he'll fight when necessary, etc.

Doesn't have elite offensive upside, which is what prevents him from being a top-6 forward (and a guy every team craves). Still, he brings a lot of the traits we've looked for in our character guys and backs it up with a frame many of them lack.

He's a kid who's a work in progress but one who has progressed every year he's been in the system. I expect him to continue that trend.

If he continues to progress, he could climb into the top 10 with ease.

I'm going with Brodie as well. I see him slightly ahead of Hagelin. Blueshirt Bulletin has been singing the praises of David Skokan for the last year--as a large, nasty, agitating forward who plays big in important games--so add Skokan.
