Foppa's summer vacation
A couple little updates on Foppa's whereabouts here in Sweden during the summer.
First of all, today he practiced with MoDo, they had their first ice session of the season today, and he practiced with them along with a few other NHL'ers (including Näslund, the Sedins and a few more). He looked good out there, although it was mostly skating around and not a very serious practice. He looked excited to play though, and even initiated a shinny when the players were about to leave the rink after the practice. Here are a few pics I found (not my own pics), Forsberg one of the guys sporting a white helmet.
Secondly, tomorrow he will play with his own charity team Icebreakers vs Swedish team Luleå, and Wednesday vs Finnish team TPS Turku (the latter featuring Miikka Kiprusoff, Teemu Selänne and the Koivu brothers). Link to the Icebreakers below (in Swedish only though)
And then in the weekend he will play in his own golf tournament Pensum Invitational by Peter Forsberg, a ProAm tournament with plenty of (mostly Swedish) celebrities on his own golf course in Örnsköldsvik.
So although it's very early in the season, these events can be seen as an early test on how his foot is doing, and he's hopefully able to return to hockey later on.
Thanks, Petey21, I always appreciate your straight from O'vik Forsberg reports. It is good to hear he is skating even if it is just exhibition play.
Forsberg with 3 goals and 1 helper tonight, when IceBreakers won with 11-4 against the Swedish Elite Team, Luleå.
Tomorrow they will face a stiffier competition, against "Läkerol Dark Allstars" in Finland.
Here is their roster.

The game in Finland ended with a 5-5 tie. I have no idea who scored, but if anyone can read Finnish, here's an article about the game.
And some pictures as well.
I would venture to guess that Forsberg and Sedin were the big stars for the Swedish team as they were the only ones mentioned in the article.
I was there watching that game. Forsberg didn`t get any points. He played good game but he didn´t done anything special. I think he was little tired.
Defense: Mattias Timander, Hans Jonsson, Tobias Enström, Pierre Hedin, Alexander Edler, Douglas Murray, Mattias Öhlund.
Forwards: Per Svartvadet. Alexander Steen, Niklas Sundström, Peter Forsberg, Markus Näslund, Samuel Påhlsson, Nicklas Bäckström, Fredrik Modin, Jonathan Hedström, Robert Nilsson, Daniel Sedin, Henrik Sedin, Joakim Lindström.
That's funny, Naslund is still wearing his Canucks pants and helmet. NYR better ship him some materials.
