I talked to him a few years ago and he was a dick.

Wow thanks for the insight :shakehead.

By this kind of a response, maybe he was justified in his treatment of you.

Seems you must have been the "Dick" and he just treated you how you should have been treated! :teach:

...hmm yeah I'm sure. Perhaps a few years ago he was being a typical 15 year old telling it like it is...

LOL, I knew that I just couldn't get away with saying something bad about a Habs' prospect. :joker:

It was three years ago at the Colisée gift shop during the intermission of a Citadelles' game.

I said "Are you Cory Urquhart ?"
- Yes.
- So you're going in the 2003 draft ?
- Yes.
- Cool. Well, good luck.

And that was the end of it. His answers were not the problem, it was the fact he was a contemptible jerk for the duration of the conversation, and after it too.

I never said he was a bad guy, or god forbid, a bad hockey player. All I said was that during a 20 second 'conversation' three years ago, when he was 16 years old, Uurqhart was a dick.

Are you touchy whiners satisfied ? :)

I would guess that that's exactly what it was.

TroyM 02-21-2004 10:48 PM

Actually all you said was "he was a dick" without any reasoning whatsoever and you were obviously trying to get a rise out of people.

I don't understand a lot of people, was there really ANY reason to post that? Do you get that much satisfaction out of bugging people? :dunno:

Actually, I started typing it, then thought to myself 'Nah, it'll just cause trouble for nothing.' but then thought again, and decided to post it just for the hell of it and to see what would happen.

Funny, I thought I specifically wrote "His answers were not the problem".

urquhart interview

i read the interview and i thought it was very poorly written. it seemed very raw and alot of words and actions that should of been edited out of the interview. i'm blaming the interviewer for this one cause i know cory and the answers should like him but they still should of been edited from the interview rather then being left in. a sloppy job by the interviewer.

Uquart has mad talent, but he needs work hard every shift. He reminds me of Ribeiro when he was in the Q. He has a tendancy to sit on his talent. He also needs to be more involved physically.
