Well, in the 18th century my ancestors were in New Brunswick, so Bonne Fete Chezz!

(From CBC)Acadians are pushing to mark Aug. 15, which they celebrate as National Acadian Day, a countrywide holiday.

I'm always up for another holiday...:)

Until then, congrats & I'll drink a few Alexander Keith's tonight!!!

I'm only 1/4 Acadian, so I can only party 1/4 as much.

I have to dig to get those on the West Island. Last time I spent serious time in the East I got hooked on Black Horse.

As far as my mom can tell, ours got sent to Quebec and possibly Louisiana... she knows a lot more about it than I do.

AIRic 08-15-2008 10:36 AM

Listen to Chezz, Alpine all the way! We will also drink some Picaroon's brewery beer from North Hampton, NB. They make some great beers like the Dooryard Ale, Blonde Ale, Dark and Stormy Night and my favorite from them : The Irish Red.

Edit : Yeah, we'll have some pumphouse too! Man, New-Brunswick brewery make some great beers!
