Not the same type of player but both seems pretty underrated. Late round picks.

Svatos easily.

Svatos is more clutch, gets less time and produces just as much. Only problem is consistency - Stempniak plays around 80 games or so. But in terms of who's better - Svatos hands down.

Stempniak had a horrible year last year for his standards but I think he'll get back to where he was in 06/07 - 50 points or so.

Svatos' low assist totals give the indication that he's not one to make teammates better.

How's Svatos defensively? Svatos has the better shot, but Stempniak is easily the better playmaker. Their play away from the puck will decide this imo.

Hmmm... Stempniak.

Svatos is a more skilled offensive player, but Stempniak has a more complete game. He had a bad year this year, I think he'll bounce back this season.

Shot alone goes to Svatos. But Stempniak is much better in his own zone, can dish the puck and score. Like JDismyhero said, Stempniak play a more complete game.
