Who is going to have a BAD year?

2005-2006 - Ribeiro had a sub par year
2006-2007 - Kovalev's worst year
2007-2008 - Ryder who?

2008-2009??

We have a great group of guys in the lineup.
Not all of them can have a career year.

Which player will have the most difficulty this year?
Which player will have to sweat off the most pressure?

IMO, the player who will have a sub par year will be Plekanec, i dont know why....its just a feeling...

LePoche69 08-19-2008 12:25 PM

Just a feeling for me too : Kovalev

Dripper 08-19-2008 12:26 PM

I go with Hamrlik as I think he overachieved a lot last year.

YEMELIN74 08-19-2008 12:27 PM

i'm going with higgins or koivu

Talent Analyst 08-19-2008 12:27 PM

Thomas Plekanek for me.

anarmandaleb 08-19-2008 12:28 PM

Better not be the goalies.

Madevilz 08-19-2008 12:32 PM

Kovalev probably, since most will expect him to have a similar year than last season.

MasterD 08-19-2008 12:36 PM

Koivu will not have an off year, he's simply on the decline...
Kovalev will not have the same season he had, but should be good for his 60-65 points.
Higgins should bounce back.
Plekanec will have a worse year than his last, but that won't be his fault, it'll be because our centermen lineup is a joke. Koivu is on the decline, Chipchura is on the slow side and has no experience, and Lapierre, well, is a winger... the pressure will be hard to handle for Pleks.

68 08-19-2008 12:44 PM

Francis Bouillon.

Iwishihadacup 08-19-2008 12:47 PM

Kovalev will, he will get surpassed by Max Pacioretty and traded to the thrashers

7th Player 08-19-2008 12:47 PM

i have a lot of expectations for Tanguay...just hope he doesn't crack!

Kriss E 08-19-2008 12:50 PM

This is the year, so im going for nobody!
A lot of people are playing for new contrats too.

Le Tricolore 08-19-2008 12:51 PM

The Leafs.

bounce back from... the best.. season.. of his career? what?

Turboflex* 08-19-2008 12:53 PM

Im worried a goalie will, but both are pretty good so if Price cracks then Halak should do a fine job. Both have potential to crack though... But also both have potential to bounce back. Halak cracked at first when Huet was injured down the stretch in 2007 but then composed himself and played awsome the last 10 games.

SUNDIN....if he doesn't sign w us

zzoo 08-19-2008 12:58 PM

I'd say Kovalev.

11Goat11 08-19-2008 12:59 PM

Lucic.

Oh, on the Habs, gotta bad feeling about Higgins. I like the guy and don't want to bash him but I see so many players having up years I can see him being left behind. Not a bad year just not living up to expectations.

Same here...

I also have a lot of expectations for Tanguay, ...let's see. And isn't Kovalev's contract coming to an end this season?! (which could be a positive thing, performance-wise)

Habs 4 Life 08-19-2008 01:03 PM

Dandenault

One Man Rock Band 08-19-2008 01:05 PM

I'd say Kovalev.. but it's a contract year. Koivu is always heart, and its a contract year for him too.

If I had to pick anyone, I'd say Bouillon is replaced by a duo of Brisebois/Valenteko by December.

Haddock 08-19-2008 01:06 PM

Well, I was listening to PJ Stock a few minutes ago and according to him and his infinite objective wisdow, everyone will have a bad year. Montréal lost their first right winger (Ryder), their first goaltender (Huet), their third point scorer (Streit), ect. When the other guy in studio started making fun of him for calling Ryder the team's first rigth winger all Stock could give for a response what repeating it, very, slowly. Michael, Ryder, was, the, Habs, first, right, winger. And then he went on to say that Jagr's departure from Manhattan meant less to his former team than Ryder's.

So yeah, the Habs are in trouble.
