Well...wear a cup lol.

The worst I've had is as a goalie I had a guy come in on a breakaway, he lost control of the puck and I went into butterfly; as I did that he lost his balance and straight up kicked me in the nuts. Didn't feel too good.

Well here something for you to think about...Mr. "I forget to wear my cup alot"

If you continue to forget and you keep getting hit, this type of injury can cause testicular cancer and then they will have to remove them...for good!. :sarcasm:

Maybe this will help you get your act together!

Hehe.

I've seen a guy's cup get shattered before. I made this mistake of not wearing a jock for my first five ball hockey games or so, and I got beaned - twice.

Bottom line, no cup should mean no to playing. It's not worth it. Why don't you get yourself a couple. As soon as you get home and empty your bag, put the alternate jock in your bag so you are guaranteed to have it. If I ever forget mine I will either be buying one at the pro shop or going home.

Sometimes wearing a cup isn't enough.

Dude almost lost a nut.

Karl with a C 08-31-2008 03:04 PM

I've never once forgotten a cup- it's THAT important.

Not wearing a cup can quickly turn you into a girl.:shakehead

PIMking 09-01-2008 05:14 PM

Not wearing a cup is the dumbest thing you can do. Shoot thats like running blinfolded onto an interstate at rush hour trying not to get hit by a car. retard

No, Jills are for girls!

And getting nailed in the box without one hurts too! I broke one blocking a slapshot.

And cups don't always work. My brother caught a lacrosse shot in the nuts (and he wore a nutty buddy) and has surgery in 2 weeks to "find" his other nut.

KillerCanuk 09-03-2008 05:22 PM

well hopefully lesson learned..never play without a ****in cup man never never..if u wanna have babies

how does one forget a cup?

gotta protect your children at all times

MikeD 09-10-2008 06:13 PM

ever forget your skates? I doubt it. clip or lace the jock w/ cup inside...to one of your skates.

Do you pack a gear bag before leaving for a game? do you just grab gear helter skelter, cramming it into the bag? For those of you who seem to forget items, start packing your bag the same way each and every time. It becomes a habit and you will not forget an item.

Mr Wentworth 09-11-2008 08:09 AM

I want to type: Typical Ranger fan! But I'm not. I'm just going to let you know what I wanted to type.

Perhaps things were a bit different for me, being a goalie...

But, when I'd pack my bag, orgazine my stuff (I'd put all my stuff in in backwards order. First thing in the bag is the last thing on, last thing in the bag was the first thing on.)

My cup and jock and whatever were part of this routine.

Gino 14 09-11-2008 02:44 PM

If you can't remember your cup after getting beaned like you said you did, you deserve what you get. I won't play without one and when I play in net, I won't play without my goalie cup, it's that important. They don't stop everything, but they make life a little better in a bad situation.

daveskirtun 09-11-2008 05:37 PM

Wear a cup, dummy

PEI Hockey 09-11-2008 05:37 PM

First hand experience for you.

When I was 6 my brother hit me down below with a football. It drove my testicle back inside my body. After a while it swelled, and I was forced to have testicular surgery as a 6 year old. Not pleasant. I was scared as hell. I couldn't walk for weeks, and whenever I tried to walk I would bleed and leave a path.

Bottom line, wear a cup in any sports activity.

Gino 14 09-12-2008 10:32 AM

What's Ron White, the comedian's, line? You can't cure stupid.
