The value of Crosby in Draft picks

If I had to take a guess I would say atleast five first rounders and 2or 3 second rounders.

I'd guess 5 first rounders.

5 first rounders, 4 second rounders, 3 third rounders, 2 fourth rounders, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Burlington Bomb 26 09-02-2008 08:33 PM

at least 10 1sts And there all from either Toronto or Long Island.

ha ha. Panthers offer 10.

I suppose it is flattering that so much of HF seems to be obsessed with the players on the Pens. How many of these threads are we going to see here this week? I am asking over/under twelve.

haha I didn't even see this. Pathers up their offer to 12.

At least 20 1st round picks, cause crosby isn't just some first overall pick. He's a generational talent that only comes around once every 20 years or so.

GlenngarryGlencross 09-02-2008 08:42 PM

All the other 29 teams in the league could combine their '09 1st rounders to seal him away forever. Or 5.

Seal him away forever? What is he, some kind of gremlin? I think you could probably lure him away with a freshly killed goat. Or is that la chupacabra?

Crosby and a 4th for Horton

:D

I would not do that trade. I would love to have Crosby, but 10 chances at another Crosby is probably the better choice.

The Isles would just trade them for 10 Oleg Kvashas.

(I kid)

Laoghaire 09-02-2008 08:58 PM

You can't trade to aquire great players because you end up giving up so much that you aren't competitive any more. Look at Gretzky, there is a reason the Oilers won a cup without him and yet he never won another.

touchee

Any tam that got him would end up lower in the standings, so.....In a fantasy world I would say he gets traded for the top pick in nexy years draft (Tavares) a second in the same draft and probably 5 more forst rounders.

Yea...But Crosby already has a hart Trophy and Art Ross. Lecavalier was no where close to that.

Not a good comparison.

This won't go anywhere
