You already said this before, give it up, TEAM NEWFOUNDLAND won't be happening in Montreal anytime soon.

come on, you know you would love to have some nova scotia boys playing for the habs. they are just ideas

mabye philly needs a depth d man with nhl experience for the playoffs, so why not move him for slaney straight up.

mtl dumps a bit of salary and philly adds depth

Sad to say but, I don't think we want Al Macinnis anymore.

Best hockey player this province ever produced. Imagine if the maritimes would have had major junior hockey back then, and MacInnis didn't have to go to the OHL

murray is exactly what we need too. ribero or koivu could play a lot better with a guy like that with them.

murray is soft, but a guy with a release like that who can find the back of the net would be good, i also believe that he will be a ufa at seasons end.

isn't it kinda funny, the only 3 guys on the thread and we are all nova scotians

how many of you's are capers

and i wouldve loved to see al on the habs in his prime
as for murray he'd definately be good on saku or ribs sides..

btw i grew up in dartmouth pretty much and moved around for the past 4 or so years but i grew up in dartmouth

EquabaleAce 02-24-2004 12:56 AM

i'm from a small village outside glace bay, but i go to school in halifax

i love the fact that there are now 5 teams in the maratimes in major junior hockey, cause alot of good kids got missed out on by the scouts over the years

i liked it when we had the voyagers in halifax. ever since the farm team moved out of there, its been downhill.

sandman08 02-24-2004 01:01 AM

voyagers.. that name rings a bell but i cant remember from how long ago or why.. was that from before the citadels or am i just on crack?! lol

oh and anyone who coaches the dartmouth AAA subways? (per chance)

Carbonneau 02-24-2004 01:03 AM

Truro here, but I think Rolston would be better than Murray

the voyagers were around in the 70s and 80s for sure. i know lafleur, dryden and a lot of the players on those teams played here in there minor league days.

im not sure who coaches dartmouth AAA.

Carbonneau 02-24-2004 01:09 AM

Larry Robinson, Guy Carbonneau, Steve Shutt, Mike MacPhee are a couple players that played in the ol' Windsor St. Forum

Good book to pick is " Here Come the Vees' "
