As with any online purchase, you should consider checking out the retailer at places like resellerratings and ripoff report before purchasing. If it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. Buyer beware.

for those who visit woot (woot is a deal a day site that mostly sells electronics), there's a woot off tomorrow. Difference between a woot off and a regular woot day is that once an item runs out, they list another. This will probably run between 24-36 hrs

Expect a bunch of MP3 players (Sansa, Zune, older iPods), a roomba/scooba, and a coffeemaker or two, along with a lot of other things.

Great deal (I think lol)

It's about the price I'd expect. Not really good hardware.

Need to get a PS 3 for my nephew. His birthday is at the end of November. My question is: Does anyone know if Sony will lower the price on the PS3 for Christmas? If it is I will wait and give it to him then. Anybody have some info on this?

A couple days ago, Sony reaffirmed that there would be no PS3 price cuts in 2008.

There's a good deal on the PS3 80GB from Dell for $340 including shipping. If you want it you'll have to order quick. It expires 10-29!

Thanks for the information. Didn't make it to Dell before the promo expired though. I'm going to end up getting it for his birthday. Thanks Again.

Here's a great deal if you don't mind signing up for a Sony Visa card.

Sign up for the Sony Visa Card and receive a free $150 credit after your first purchase of $299 or more at SonyStyle.com. The credit will appear on your statement within 12 weeks of your first purchase. A best bet is to purchase the Sony PlayStation 3 80GB Console for $399.99. After the Sony card credit, it falls to $249.99. With free shipping, it's among the best deals we've seen for this system.
They'll probably also be some included in the Black Friday sales. Kmart is launching their BF sale Nov 2nd. No doubt the other major retailers will be launching early. Some already have. You can sign up to be notified of BF ads at http://www.blackfriday.info/sales/

Thanks for the info guys. I was actually probably just going to buy the 80g for $399. But I just went to the Best Buy site and they have a 160g with Game(Uncharted:Drakes Fortune) for $499. That a great deal. An extra $100 for 80g+Game(That sells for $60 by itself). It says "Coming Soon" which leads me to my problem. I was hoping to make my purchase before the end of the month. Anyone know or have any insite oon when this deal will actually be released?

Beezer 11-12-2008 09:57 PM

OK, went to a Best Buy store and asked about the 160G I saw online(that said Coming Soon). They weren't able to give me an exact date but just that it was coming out soon. I said, well the site told me that and asked how soon, will it be out by Christmas? They said, most likely yes! If someone figures out the exact day though, please share. 160G PS3+game(Uncharted: Drake's Fortune) for $499 sounds like a great deal!

Another Woot-Off just started about 5 minutes ago. They usually last a day or two.

Keep your eyes open, and get a Bag of Carp!

I just got home from Best Buy. Their Black Friday ad in the newspapers had the Garmin Nuvi 260w GPS Unit listed for $189.99. Apparently that's a good price already. Well I accidentally found a coupon earlier in the week. The coupon is for $50 off any Garmin GPS unit at Best Buy. So I got the thing for $139.99 for my parents as part of their Xmas gift. I did a search online and I couldn't even find refurbished units for that price. Amazon has it for like $260, and that's for a refurb. Anyway, just an FYI in case anyone is interested.

Was vaseline spread on the camera lens before taking the pics? It's not even an excuse if it's a camera phone, as mine has AF and macro...
