Galchenyuk x 27 10-16-2008 02:17 PM

no, it doesnt make me cry but it is touching.

Ive had family members ho through the same so i know how hard it was for Saku to beat the deisease.

White Spy 10-16-2008 02:18 PM

Very hard not to be emotional

HankyZetts 10-16-2008 02:20 PM

I was lucky enough to be at that game 2 rows up, center ice, behind the penalty boxes and let me tell you, that was one of the most emotional things i've ever been through in my life. You couldn't help but cry...

That ovation started during the warmup and didn't stop right through to the puck drop.

Me too jeez change that title!

AD 10-16-2008 02:25 PM

Can we PLEASE not have "Koivu's cancer return" in the title...

PLEASE..

Or maybe add "video" at the end.

Kachino 10-16-2008 02:28 PM

Was at the game... Very touching moment...

TrueNorthGooner 10-16-2008 02:28 PM

I thought the same thing and my heart sunk into my chest. Change the title. When I saw the Koivu return on t.v. live it made me tear up but now it just makes me happy.

toshiro 10-16-2008 02:29 PM

I agree. My heart jumped.

Jesus. I'm a Bruins fan, and reading that thread title made me hurt a little bit inside.

Glad to see it's a misleading title.

I don't know if it's just me, but I don't think we should have a Poll on a topic like that:shakehead

Uber Coca 10-16-2008 02:42 PM

I voted No, I'm not a sissy because the poll is public.

We got you big guy..

come here. I'll give you a hug.

Where's the option: "Well.. I'm not really emotional but that night, I cried like the first time I tried having sex at 13 with a much older lady that kept calling me puppy dog"

Edit: nevermind

Was this the game where they made a comeback at the end of the game? I believe it was around the time Koivu returned.

I was very emotional that night.
It was my dads birthday we were 1 row behind Theos net.
The Saku chant started before the warm up.

I thought I was gonna have some turrs last night when Gainey's spot on the Ring Of Honor was announced; a great ovation, one of true appreciation.

May Gainey bless us all.

ToysInTheAttic 10-16-2008 04:16 PM

Nothing about hockey has ever made me cry, ...now my credit card statements:cry:

It wasn't a real emotional moment for me, but it was one of those things that mad me smile for about 10 minutes. There's been some great guys around the team over the years and it brings back a lot of memories to see guys like Shutt, Robinson, Lapointe an dthe rest of them.

Even Lach and Bouchard totalling 180 years had a bit of a spark if you looked closely enough.

My Dad was commenting on how old Butch looked, I didn't say anything, as I guess Mom's removed the mirrors in their house.

*Note to self, do not drink coffee while reading mcphee's posts*

I was emotional during the Koivu tribute. But it was more of a pumped up feeling. I was so happy and excited about his return, that I felt energized enough that I could have ran through a brick wall.

During the ceremony last night when Lach and Bouchard were brought out to center ice..did bring a tear to my eye though.
