Habs Bright Future!!

Since so many have spent so much time debating if, when and who Gainey should or will trade, I thought I would encourage all my fellow Hab fans by looking at who is in the organization - present and future. I have listed each player according to position including age, nationality, height/weight and where they currently play. Please keep in mind that some on this list may not be with the Habs much longer and others may never play for them but the Habs do own their rights. It is firm belief that the Habs future is very bright as the following list indicates. We are ranked #1 in prospect depth for good reason - because we truly deserve to be there! Go Habs! Enjoy, folks!

This didn't post in the form I meant it to be in. The ** means players who probably will not come over at any time. Also, if we started the six defencemen I mentioned:
Quintal, Souray, Brisebois, Rivet, Markov, Komisarek - the average height and weight would be 6'-3", 217 lbs. Please excuse my errors on that. Comments?

I thought Guren and Tarasov weren't Montreal property anymore...

Thank you for pointing out Halak as a Slovak. A clear typo. Some of these are no longer on the Habs' list but they still retain their rights. That's why I included them.

Tarasov is an RFA still. Guren as well.

Where's Razin since you got Guren there. Also where's Sidlov sine Sidyakin is there. :D

Buturlin is more of a RW then LW but can play all 3.

Carpentier is in the Bulldogs organization, and not the Habs like Cote and Plante.

Plekanec is a center

But all minor stuff, great list! :handclap: :yo:

Well done. Apart from a few minor details, very comprehensive list.

Great work; nice to have such a comprehensive list available.

There's no way that Buturlin is 22 and Hossa is 23; he was drafted the year before Hossa, and both were drafted in their first seasons of eligibility.

As for the left side being weak; it doesn't look so bad if Bulis is included there; Jan has played left wing for the majority of the past three seasons; it's safe to say he's a left winger. Begin had also spent at least half of his time on left wing with the Habs. Also; if we are to believe Savard when he says that Higgins will be a left winger at the pro level, the left wing isn't so bad.

Bulis
Dagenais/Zednik Zed has played a lot on left wing
Begin
Langdon
Kilger
Higgins
Hossa
Lambert

Not a horrible list IMO. I also have a sneaking feeling that Kastitsyn might be groomed to play left wing eventually on a top line with Ribeiro and Perezhogin, but that's two or three seasons away.

Upon further review: Hossa doesn't turn 23 until next October.
