Willie Mitchell this season

I'm from the same town as him in BC (Port McNeill) and had the priveledge of interviewing him this summer as part of my two positions with newspapers. Being out in New Brunswick for school I don't get many west coast games, nor do I get the local updates about him.

How has Willie played this season so far? Has he been one of the team's top defenceman (continuing his momentum from the playoffs), and what does his role look like for next year?

Thanks guys.

He's still one of the top defensemen we've got. I don't think he's played quite as well this season, but my opinion is probably biased a bit, since I'm a bit down on the consistency of effort the team has put forth this season. There haven't been any guys who've really stood out the whole season long. Everyone seems to have a good night and a bad night. The whole team is slumping, so who knows how he'd be playing (or what my opinion of his play would be) if we had some momentum between games.
