How much would u grade Boyd so far in 2008?

Overall I am pretty impressed with his play but he needs to work on finishing. All those missed set ups that once he can elevate his game even a little he can hopefully start capitalizing on a large amount of them. Other than that I think he is having a great year. I am glad to see him developing great chemistry and getting more ice time.

Probably a 6 or 7. I really think he has been good so far this season. Scoring pretty good for a 3rd liner, has done well on the PK and has the confidence of the coach to be out there during the last minute of a game. Skill and smarts are no doubt there, strength is better, but at times he has still been taken off the puck a bit easy. Willing to take a hit to make a play. Really happy with his progress so far.

Boyd is looking like a steal. I am gonna call this one a GREAT DRAFT PICK (for all you haters) by Mr. Sutter.

Yeah Boyd is doing great this year and all signs point to a break out year. His chemistry with his line mates is outstanding. I am not that concerned with him on the third line as Keenan is playing a four line system as for a change we have dewpth of scoring we only dreamt about since the glory days. Is Boyd a RFA after this season? If so I hope he can be signed to an extension before July 1 and all those wild offers ala Bernier. :nod:
