Just another Lundqvist snub

Check out NHL.com's poll on the bottom right of the homepage.

" Which goaltender will finish the season with the most shutouts? "

Even after posting a league-high 10 shutouts last season, they apparently forget to add him to the poll. Yeah, I understand it's just a NHL.com poll and it doesn't matter much at all, but i don't know I thought i'd point it out because it's just typical

EvilCorporateLawyer 11-08-2008 02:01 PM

The NHL hates the Rangers. Just accept it and move on. They have since Bettman took over.

FromDubiToZherdev* 11-08-2008 02:08 PM

Oh my.

I tried watching the TBL vs NYR highlights on NHL.com...

I do not know who the announcer is, but please....

I never want to hear him again.

EDIT:

On the first entry. Wow. Watch it and see.

I think they just put up those who got a couple of shutouts lately. The same Lundqvist was named the 2nd best player in october in the league by nhl.com without doing spalshes either in the 3-star selections or in shutouts.

Haha, ditto. Can you say HEAVILY-BIASED announcers? Hardly any emotion on Rangers' goals, but listen to the guy go nuts after St. Louis' & Malone's goal

The best part is when Voros comes up with 2 or 3 solid upper cuts and they are quiet.....then Malone throws a right and its "WHOA MALONE WITH A RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Hearing all the other teams crappy announcers just makes me appreciate Sam and Joe more, even if Joe doesn't know what he's talking about sometimes.

Joe can be annoying, but i dont doubt he knows hockey. Was on 2 national championship teams with the Gophers, and played in the NHL, im pretty sure he knows what he's talking about. That said he tries a bit too hard to be the clever/funny sidekick.

The homer announcers in other cities can get ridiculous. I mean our guys are obviously pro rangers, but sam will have some sort of emotion of somebody on the other side scores a great goal. Listen to the Pitt announcers on NHL.com when Z scored that tying goal against them. it was as if the pens were up 7-0 at the time and the goal didnt matter.

This is the kind of thing that makes people turn off the sound on the TV feeds and listen to the radio feed. Like I used to do with the Yankees way back when to avoid listening to Scooter (may he R.I.P.).

Bettman doesn't hate the Rangers...I think he does his darnest to be impartial.

Rangers after 7 years of marginal hockey dont get respect. that's normal.

The Canadian hordes amongs the NHL footmen are very partial and and it always seems that things in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa are far bigger thatn they are in reality or more so than in St.Louis or Dallas.
