Sorry, I have no clue why I wrote 100. I meant to write 250. Got corrected.

DeadPhish5858 11-18-2008 02:33 PM

What about 1 goal to Sbisa's first? You forgot that one.

Well, if I put that on the list, so I have to put it for Gratton, Ross, Kukkonen, Parent and so on. I'll note them when they happen though.

Vikke 11-18-2008 04:43 PM

I forgot to say that I like threads like this one. :)

Keep it up!

MountainHawk 11-18-2008 05:45 PM

This thread is so much better than the 'suspension watch' thread from last year.

Chuck Downie 11-18-2008 05:46 PM

Thanks for posting this. Will you update it eventually?

I plan to update it after every game, just like the Game-by-Game Statssheet thread

Or 17 to the 50th. Need to check through that again. Seems that I have made the list rather hastily :/

Updated.

chaosof99* 11-23-2008 04:27 AM

Updated this yesterday, but let's put some discussion in this thread:

Carts is currently on route for 60 goals. Do you guys think he could earn himself Rocket Richard Trophy? This would make him only the second Flyer to ever become NHL goal scoring leader after Reggie Leach in 75-76.

Here's a bit to chew on with the players ranked by their end result of goals if they keep scoring at the current rate and play all games left in the season:

Formula:
G ... Goals
P ... games played by the player
L ... games left for the team
Estimated goals = (G / P) * L + G.

Table:
Rank : Name : Games played : Games left : Current Goals : Estimated Goals (calculation result)
1 : Alexander Semin : 16 : 62 : 13 : 63 (63.374)
2 : Thomas Vanek : 20 : 62 : 15 : 61 or 62 (61.5)
3 : Jeff Carter : 19 : 63 : 14 : 60 (60.42)
4 : Zach Parise : 19 : 63 : 12 : 52 (51.789)
4 : Patrick Sharp : 19 : 63 : 12 : 52 (51.789)
6 : Simon Gagné : 18 : 63 : 11 : 49 or 50 (49.5)
7 : Marian Hossa : 19 : 63 : 11 : 47 (47.473)
7 : Patrick Kane : 19 : 63 : 11 : 47 (47.473)
7 : Shane Doan : 19 : 63 : 11 : 47 (47.473)
7 : Vyacheslav Kozlov : 19 : 63 : 11 : 47 (47.473)
11 : Devin Setoguchi : 21 : 61 : 12 : 47 (46.857)
12 : Danny Heatly : 20 : 62 : 11 : 45 (45.1)
13 : Jarome Iginla : 21 : 61 : 11 : 43 (42.952)
13 : Ryan Clowe : 21 : 61 : 11 : 43 (42.952)

Ovechkin (currently only 8 goals in 18 games) won the Rocket Richard Trophy last year with 65 goals. Before him were Lecavalier (52 goals) and Cheechoo (56). I only used players that scored at least 11 goals so far. Other Flyers:

Daniel Brière : 8 : 63 : 5 : 47 (47.375)
Mike Knuble : 19 : 63 : 8 : 35 (34.526)
Joffrey Lupul : 19 : 63 : 7 : 30 (30.21)
Mike Richards : 19 : 63 : 6 : 26 (25.894)
Scott Hartnell : 19 : 63 : 6 : 26 (25.894)

This means if Danny Boy comes back and plays like before the injury (or between where he got 1 goal each in the games between the two injuries), he'd make 7th place in my ranking up there, given he plays against Dallas and all games after that.
I guess Cannon is a better playmaker than goalscorer, or maybe he's concentrating more on assists this year since Gags and Carts are raking in the goals.

Spongolium* 11-23-2008 07:03 AM

I don't think mike is concentrating just on assists this year. I just believe that he has such a fantastic goal scorer outside him in gagne that he doesnt need to do the shooting

chaosof99* 11-26-2008 08:40 PM

Updated. Niitty earned his 50th Career win tonight. :handclap::handclap::handclap:

Mike Knuble scored his 400th NHL point on December 11th. The point was an assist to a goal by Simon Gagné which tied the game two minutes before the end of the third period in a 6-5 shootout win over the Carolina Hurricanes.
