This slump should end on Saturday

With the Bruins in town, the memories of the last game against them and Roy's jersey retirement, the Habs will be shaken up and will play with more heart.

Here's to some positive thinking :handclap:
It shall be a new start in this season!

GO HABS GO!

This team seems to always come out flat after a ceremony before the game so i'm not getting my hopes up...

I can't imagine why we only have like 20 a year. All they have to do sit there in listen to how great Patrick Roy was for 30 minutes.

Meh, it's all well and good but I hope after this year that Gainey is satisfied that he's rebuilt some semblance of our proud fanchise's tradition and stops the opening ceremonies for next year. Too much.

It'd be better if we had anything to celerbrate over the last 15 years.

Tuggy 11-19-2008 06:35 AM

How about the slump ends Thursday?

No kidding, Nyquil already said that the Sens are slump killers.

Habs 4 Life 11-19-2008 07:27 AM

Right now there is only 1 team in the NHL that has less heart then us and thats the Sens.If we lose tomorrow get ready folks for a long losing streak cause we ain't beating the bruins on Saturday,oh and that retirement ceremony doesn't mean **** cause we lost to Columbus last year 3-0

Bluebillion 11-19-2008 08:35 AM

new game, new start. lets hope habs can end this slump!

kostitsyn1489 11-19-2008 08:45 AM

There are good chances like there is for any other game. With all the talent we have we just need to get a few good shifts, good bounce and we'll get back on track.

Drive425 11-19-2008 09:28 AM

Saturday is going to be a train wreck.

Fire Carbo, Lats sucks, Russians have no heart...let's see what other cliches I read over the last few posts...:shakehead

Pr3Va1L 11-19-2008 09:28 AM

We'll beat the Sens (who doesn't?) and then we'll get stomped by the Bruins (again), but at least Laraque will teach Lucy what it is to be a man.
Hopefully, getting beat again by Boston should serve as a wake-up call!

ReVeuF 11-19-2008 09:30 AM

I'll hope bad that we destroy the Bruins Saturday like they did to us last week.

Let say BGL fight with Lucy and lose... what would be the reaction ?

People saying BGL would wreck him are pretty off imo.. there's a chance he could but it's not like Lucic is Kostopoulos or anything. He will hold his own.

Le Canadien too is a slump killer. See games vs Flyers and Hurricanes.

Thursday, we're gonna see who's the real slump killer. I hope it's the Sens.

zurg999 11-19-2008 11:24 AM

I predict collective board suicide after a loss to Ottawa on Thursday, followed by happy, but quiet contemplativeness of the Habs goodiness by the few remaining board members after a huge win on Saturday.

Yeah, pretty much

Seriously, Lucic is a kid.. He needs to learn what's respect, if he really wants to play in this grown-man's league. :thumbu:

HotPie 11-19-2008 12:32 PM

The slump should end tomorrow.

Bring_Bak_Damphousse 11-19-2008 12:39 PM

What a change from approx 5 games ago, they've been hard to watch lately there playing boring uninspired hockey. Hopefully the come out firing on all cylinders against the Sens and the Bruins.

m00ks 11-19-2008 01:04 PM

Well, they'll need a complete 180 if they wanna survive the following weeks. Boston, Buffalo, Washington, Detroit oh man....
