2+ Hours.... and nothing.

Talk about apathy... pity the Hawks fans.

Good skater, good offensive player, average defensively. He's improved his defensive play over the last year, which kept him out of Toronto's lineup for so many years.

The LA Times has the trade reads as follows:

The Kings acquired d Nathan Dempsey from Chicago for a fourth-round selection in 2005 and a conditional sixth-round selection in 2006.

The Blackhawks will receive the conditional sixth-round selection if the Kings advance past the first round of the playoffs this season.

from the lack of replies to this trade, i take it that dempsey didnt mean too much to chi...i'm not too excited about him, he's small and isnt he around 30...he's jus a replacement for visnovsky who's probably out for longer than we expected

Dempsey was a top 4 defenseman here. With Poapst, McCarthy, Robidas, and Karpovtsev injured, he was second only to Berard in importance and first in icetime.

There's a lack of replies because hardly anyone comes to the desolate wasteland that is the Lack-Hawks section at HF. Everyone's over at BlackhawkZone.com.
