PGT: Habs win a game in regular time (!) Balditsyn FTW
Discuss:
- Balditsyn > Obama - Dandy with a very good game - D'Ago with a solid game, put himself in good positions - Skost with 3 brutal penalties - Gorges made a mistake! - Brunet has a mancrush on Begin - Kovalev with another iffy game - Komi looks good behind the bench |
andrei is a beast.....
the sky is blue... thank you |
Meh. Andrei Kostitsyn played very well.
we needed this one....bad
The effort was much better tonight. A.Kost all I can say is
I want AK46 with Koivu.
what, no trade Kovalev threads? oh yah , we won. How was D'agostini I didnt see,
Give a one-night "A" to Akost, strip it off Kovalev's chest.
Want the momentum to continue...hate the win one, lose one pattern.
Tanguay Koivu Akost = we found our solution!
and that 5 on 3 was good even if we didnt score with Andrei's on the point.. Kost just has to hit the net. |

Finally some effort:handclap:
didn't see much of koivu tonight, was he injured?
To paraphrase Sam Kinison, if Carbo puts AKost back with Kovalev he deserves to be fired and become a night manager at ****en Wendy's or something.
Tanguay-Koivu-A Kostitsyn. Maybe too much of a dream. Thomas Vanek is a ridiculous hockey player. |
AKost ftw.
Apparently, if Montreal scores three goals then they'll win, thanks to Price. Very reassuring, 2 goals or less allowed in his last 7 games.
A.Kost has a BOMB from the point
Hate to be Debbie Downer here but what are we now 0 for 12 on the PP?
This game should have been put away on that 2min 5 on 3. Having said that AKost did play a great game. His brother? Not so much. Price was solid again. All in all, could have gone either way imo. Too many missed opportunities on the PP. |
its time to put akost with saku...if youre with me press 1 :P

Glad to see D'agostini get some ice time, and glad to see him play well. He's fast, he wins battles in the corners, they need to make room for him.
Brisebois looked good, and, unfortunately the defence looked better without O'Byrne. O'Byrne has to get his head together and reach his potential starting with, say, 10 minutes per game in low pressure situations. I like Muller and Jarvis, but the habs need some assistant coaches: -who are Xs and Os guys -who have played as defencemen -who have played offense current habs style (Muller was all effort and ugly goals). Effort guys are great, but they bring the same thing Carbonneau does. He needs some variety behind the bench. They should trade assistant coaches with a team looking to get forwards to play defence. |
