After a loss Carbo changes the lines so....

What lines do you think will stay, and what will be changed?

I believe Carbo is going to keep the Koivu line, but maybe make some other shuffles...I expect something like this.

A Kost-Koivu-Dago
Tanguay-Plecks-Kovy
Higgins-Lang-Kosto (Kosto won't go anywhere how he's playin now)
Lats/S Kost-Laps-Laraque/Begin (I think they are going to sit Begin or Laraque and bring back one of the 21 year olds)

What are you thoughts? And I'm not asking what line YOU WANT but what you think CARBO will go with.

redmachine54 12-06-2008 10:04 PM

I think one of Lats / Sergei Kostitsyn will get a shot back in the line-up. O'Byrne, too, if one of Markov / Dandenault can't play.

What i hope to see once D'Ago ccols off:

S. Kostitsyn-Koivu-A. Kostitsyn
Tanguay-Plekanec-Latendresse
Higgins-Lang-Kovalev
Begin-Lapierre-Kostopoulos

SKost in with Laps and Begin, leave Lats and laraque out.

Are you sure you want to form a KKK line? I'm not too sure Laraque would welcome this...:sarcasm:

Vinceee 12-06-2008 10:21 PM

i bench kostopoulos and put skost on the 2nd line, instead of him

RoyBoyCoy 12-06-2008 10:28 PM

AKost-Koivu-Dago------------this line is crackin'
Higgins-Pleks-Tanguay-------Tanguay back at RW (Sue me lmao)
SKost-Lang-Kovalev----------SKost as a scratch isn't gonna help his case
Begin-Lapierre-Kosto---------Kosto back with normal minutes

um.. why? i agree i wanna see skost play, but kosto has been awesome this season, he doesn't deserve to sit for a long while.

HellasLEAF 12-07-2008 01:00 AM

after a lot of experimenting why not go right back to what worked last season with AK - Plekanec - Kovelev

see what happens

Um well....they tried it over and over....it hasn't worked this season.

HellasLEAF 12-07-2008 01:21 AM

well AK was hurt for a while and that sort of messed up the rythem of the line clicking. And Plekanec was not very good either.

But if it worked ALL last season, how can you give up on that now that AK is back and flying out there. I say give that line one more chance to succeed.

The line wasn't working, then A.Kost was put on a line with Lang and he looked like he was back. So Carbo took him off that line after a couple of games and put him back with Pleks/Kovy and he couldn't get as involved in the game because he rarely saw the puck. So Carbo put him on the 4th line with Lapierre and his brother and the line worked and A.Kost played well. Then he was moved to the Koivu/D'Agostini line and has look fantastic for the most part. That line works right now, the Kost/Pleks/Kovy line worked last year and has rarely looked good this year. Why go back to what may not work when we have something that does work? Although you appear to be a Leafs fan, so maybe you just want to sabotage the Habs :D

I think Carbo will make the following changes:

Switch Higgins and Tanguay.

SKost to replace Laraque.

O'Byrne to replace an INJURED defenceman, if there is one.

I like, with one major change.....I would switch SKost and Tanguay. Tangs belongs on the second line, but more importantly belongs on LW.

Putting SKost on RW with two fast, disciplined, hard-working players who are responsible in their own end as well will give him good role models. It's a nice 3rd line, if you ask me.

OTOH, if Carbo wants to bring SKost back via the 4th line before graduating him, simply switch him with Kosto in the scenario I just gave.

Bad Natey 12-07-2008 07:07 AM

A. Kostitsyn - Koivu - D'Agostini
Tanguay - Lang - Kovalev
Higgins - Plekanec - S. Kostitsyn
Latendresse - Lapierre - Kostopoulos
Begin, Laraque

Markov - Gorges
Hamrlik - Brisebois
Bouillon - Dandenault
O'Byrne

Price
Halak *

* Give Halak the game Thursday against the Lightning.

Please no.

How can you possibly advocate putting Akost back with Kovy?

Seriously..

kovalost27 12-07-2008 10:04 AM

I think they should put Kovalev in a Latendresse jersey...

That way Canadiens fans will be both happy that Kovalev is benched and Latendresse is shaping into an offensive threat.

Kimota 12-08-2008 02:12 AM

They need to at least try the two Bros together wth KGB agent Plek once this year.

Suppose he doesn't cool off. What then? d'Ago already has as many goals as SKost and one more than Lats.

That'd be worse! Then they'd we'd be screaming at Lats for turning over the puck every time he's on the ice.
