Photo shop advice
Can any of you photo shops wizards help me? I used photo shop for awhile about five or six years ago but I no longer have the program on my new laptop. I've tried using the trial version but for the life of me I can't do what I want to. All I'm trying to do is free-hand crop out a face on one picture and layer another face in it's place. That's all, but I guess I have forgotten how or the new version is too complicated.
Any advice? :help:

It sounds like you're doing things backwards.

Easy instructions:
Set your windows to cascade(icon with windows in it at the top/or go to Windows>viewsomethingorother). Use the picture with the face you want, then select it with the magnetic/freehand lasso(mouse over the tools until the name pops up). Switch to the pointer, click and drag the selection over to the other picture and it will paste it as a new layer. Position it in place with the pointer.

Little more complex:
Set your windows mode to cascade, then start with the picture with the face you want. Double click on the layer in the layers palette to make it a floating layer, then use the magnetic/freehand lasso to select the face. Select the "make layer mask" icon at the bottom of your Layers palette(mouse over it until the description pops up). Then switch to the standard pointer, click and drag it right onto your other picture.

Edit as needed.
