Better team: Boston or San Jose?

Well?

Dr Grant 12-26-2008 02:16 PM

Give me San Jose easily. Boston wont keep this pace up at season end.

because SJ will keep theirs right?

San Jose.

They've been one of the league's best teams for a few years in a row now, and Boston has had one stellar half season.

xeric716x 12-26-2008 02:20 PM

San Jose

I chose SJ. Boston is scary right now, though.

mouser 12-26-2008 02:24 PM

San Jose. Much better track record of consistency

Its the more likely scenario. Sharks have more established talent and have been winning even while missing several of their better secondary scorers and Roleplayers.

to be clear... i wasn't implying Boston was the better team

my post had nothing to do with that... though i do give the edge to SJ right now

and pointing out SJ injuries is pretty silly considering Boston has been battling key injuries this year as well

SJ has been among the top teams in the conference every year since the lockout, yea i can see them keeping the same pace throught the rest of the season.

really...

so you think they will finish close to 65-10-7 then?

137 points.

Given their track record and team make-up, they sure as hell have a better chance of doing that than the Bruins.

didn't realize that i was arguing that.

Saw Jiris Tlusty 12-26-2008 03:23 PM

Sharks

but seriously both teams are scary

Thresher 12-26-2008 03:26 PM

I voted for Boston...they're more efficient, or something

Frozen Fiend 12-26-2008 03:32 PM

San Jose. They are better at hockey then the Bruins.

Me neither.

At this very moment, Boston is definitely playing the better hockey, although I like San Jose to finish ahead of them at the end of the regular season.

Playoffs, however, I can't see it as anything other than a coin flip.

Modo 12-26-2008 04:04 PM

Definitely San Jose.

What he said.
I voted San Jose though becasue I think they'll finish with more points and that was my measuring stick.

daveskirtun 12-26-2008 04:18 PM

sharks

RoadDoggFL 12-26-2008 04:19 PM

I say Boston. They haven't lost to Florida.

:-)

Son of Donegal 12-26-2008 04:30 PM

Both teams are strong right now. Sharks have a better record in an "arguably" tougher division/conference. Bruins have better stats and goaltending. Both teams have had injury problems...

Well...I guess we'll see what happens on 02/10...I got tickets to the B's / Sharks game in Boston. Psyched!
