Game 34: vs Anaheim, 12/27

Over/Under on Ducks' penalties tonight: 9

________ 12-27-2008 02:20 PM

A better over/under would be how many times Corey Perry scores low blocker on Turco.

theheadmata 12-27-2008 02:44 PM

How many times does Perry "bump" into Turco tonight? Consequently, how many jabs (either with his stick or his blocker) does Turco get away with on Perry?

STARS DAWG 12-27-2008 03:56 PM

Is Matress Man in goal for the Ducks tonight?

theheadmata 12-27-2008 04:00 PM

Looks like Giggy is in goal tonight for the Ducks.

STARS DAWG 12-27-2008 04:05 PM

They'll just have to get some rebounds off the matresses then....

Duck's D-Man Huskin's still iffy for tonights game:

Quote:

Its kind of borderline right now, Huskins said. Its tough to gauge whether its game-ready.
If Huskins misses a third consecutive game, the Ducks will again call on rookie Nathan McIver to fill the spot on the blue line.

The lines should be the same as the Toronto game with Lundqvist still injured and Parrish the scratch.

piqued 12-27-2008 06:52 PM

Not sure why the Ducks don't just start Hiller every Dallas game.

theheadmata 12-27-2008 06:53 PM

It always seems like Ludwig is on the verge of telling Renner he is a tool.

piqued 12-27-2008 07:03 PM

You see Ralph fake salute when he threw it back to Renner in the pregrame show? That was hilarious.

Starsfan24 12-27-2008 07:13 PM

I saw that to that was pretty funny

Starsfan24 12-27-2008 07:16 PM

Nice Guys 1-0 Ducks

ugrakarma 12-27-2008 07:16 PM

That play looked so innocent and still it ended up in the net. :(

piqued 12-27-2008 07:16 PM

Turco flails around and falls forward for some reason, Kunitz just pokes it in.

theheadmata 12-27-2008 07:18 PM

Looks like the dmen for the Stars are pursuing a bit too much in the offensive zone and getting caught on their heels when it goes the other way.

Starsfan24 12-27-2008 07:20 PM

another penalty

:pb:

piqued 12-27-2008 07:25 PM

That was a nice little give and go between Richards and Eriksson. Eriksson also got blatantly interfered with afterward along the boards when he was going to the puck. You could see several Stars just throw their hands up.

Starsfan24 12-27-2008 07:26 PM

LETS GO POWERPLAY!!!

if you watch the replay of that goal you'll notice the puck is bouncing towards the corner before stricking Robidas (as he was following Getzlaf behind the net) and bouncing back in front of the ice onto Kunitz's stick.

nothing Turco or any other goaltender could really do on that one, just a fluke bounce... unfortunatly that's the way it's been going for the Stars so far.

Starsfan24 12-27-2008 07:29 PM

Well another shining display of our horrid powerplay

Starsfan24 12-27-2008 07:30 PM

Theres another one

:pb:

Alistar 12-27-2008 07:30 PM

this is the good thing about the ducks.

as bad as our Power-Play is, the ducks will keep on giving us second chances :)

Starsfan24 12-27-2008 07:32 PM

There goes another powerplay by us

Starsfan24 12-27-2008 07:37 PM
