Good month for him, but he wasnt the habs best player..

He had one great game (hat trick) but other then that he only had points in 3 of the remaining 13 games..

Lapierre's contributions can't be measured only in points. He's been one of our most consistent forwards.

he was, imo. Doing more than his role , carrying the team on the road for a couple of games ...

he did progressed, that's the only thing I hope every poster can agree on ...

If somebody would have told me before the season started that Laps would win the Molson cup (Any month). I would have laughed in their face, congrats Laps, you fully deserve the honour.

My thoughts exactly, there are at least 10 players on the team I'd have expected it from before Maxim, but I'm really pleased to see the stars recognize hard work, because Maxim set an example for the team it badly needed. Congrats Maxim, keep up the high level of play.

Ok, but who wins the Labatt Nordiques Cup?

Good question!

My vote is either Ryan O'Byrne or Sergei Kostitsyn.

Kinda scarry that on such a talented team, Laps gets the trophy.. Makes you think for a moment..

Who's the Nov one?

Maxim Lapierre is the by-product of Montreal's 1998 first rounder, Eric Chouinard. Montreal dealt Chouinard to the Flyers in January of 2003 for a second rounder that June. Enter Lapierre. Not bad.

One would think that it must have been a disastrous month for the team for Lapierre to be named the Molson Cup winner, but in fact we went
8-3-2 in 13 games.

Komi said it himself tonight, lately it's the Lapierre line that's sparking the team with their energetic play

curtisl1982 01-05-2009 01:57 AM

Lapierre winning the molson cup sure makes you think....with all the talent on this team, a 4th line energy player wins it....although I think he deserved it, but where the hell is Kovalev? Plekanec? Kostitsyns?
