NOTES: The Montreal Canadiens are on a roll lately, winning 4 in a row and 7 of their last 8. Their last victory came off a last minute goal by Sergei Kostitsyn against Washington. The Habs will be in tough against Boston though, as the Bruins are on top of the East since November and Montreal has only won 1 of the 3 meetings this year after winning all 8 last year. Jaroslav Halak will get his 6th straight start tonight in replacement of Carey Price, he has gone 4-1 in his first 5 starts.

The Boston Bruins are on a tear since November and have shown no indications they will slow down. They won 12 of their last 14 games and youngsters like David Krejci and Phil Kessel have been playing like stars. The last time the Bruins hosted the Canadiens was back in November and gave the team coached by Guy Carbonneau a lesson by winning 6-1. It should be a great battle between the two teams as they have the two best win% in the whole Eastern Conference. Tim Thomas will get the nod in goal for Boston, he's won 17 of his 24 starts this season and will represent the Bruins at the ASG later this month.

Hey, can a mod put a red font for the Habs notes. Thanks.

roy munson 01-12-2009 06:36 PM

I was waiting for this one, but it won' be the same with all the injuries on both sides. Would be the perfect time to push the B's on the other side. The Slump side.

GO HABS GO!!!

Ace0813 01-12-2009 06:36 PM

Kessels not going to be playing, hes out with mono.

CanadienErrant* 01-12-2009 06:37 PM

Where is Lucic ?

Mustafa* 01-12-2009 06:37 PM

The game i've been waiting for ahhhhhhhhhh, it will feel good. I want a complete destruction of the Bruins by the Habs, something like 8-1, and humiliation of their player going for the moral victory during the third! So things can go back to like they were, them being our *****es.

I knew him and Lucie were smooching, now we have proof.

Maybe he shouldn't kiss so much with Lucic!

Spectaculard 01-12-2009 06:40 PM

Habs will win. Kosto will lose a fight. Bruins fans cry moral victory and complain about refs.

Let's return to beating the Bruins by a large margin again.

I was on the chat hyping this game up tonight. I think this is the most important eastern matchup so far this season, agree or disagree?

So far? i would say we should have won on the Roy jersey retirement, but we lost. This one comes second.

The biggest game of the season to date and I can't watch it. Thank whomever brought us CH express.
