Upcoming road trip

Sat, Jan 17 @ Ottawa
Tue, Jan 20 @ Atlanta
Wed, Jan 21 @ New Jersey
Tue, Jan 27 @ Tampa Bay
Thu, Jan 29 @ Florida

I expect a 4-1-0 record coming out of it. If Boston could do it, we should be able to as well! :yo:

There's no reason to aim less than 5-0-0

Iwishihadacup 01-16-2009 11:51 AM

That's what we said last time before playing in New Jersey. We all saw what happened. It'd be nice to get a win there, but it's not a game I'm confident about.

I hope so! But given our trouble with Florida, and NJ being the 2nd 1/2 of a back to back, I'm expecting more of a 3-1-1, or 3-2.

You will be desapointed.. With a bit of luck Koivu and Higgins will be back after the All star break so Im a bit less worried about the last 2 games but Ottawa is playing his best hockey of the season, Brian Little is back for Atlanta, it wont be a walk in the park, NJ is NJ.. I dont want to scrap the party but I dont think this road trip is looking very good..

I'll be at the game in Atlanta

LOL I don't even know what that's supposed to mean anymore.

Remember, the Habs are playing some of their best hockey too.

The team plays 3 of the 5 worst teams in the conference. I'm not sure what would look like a good road trip to you.

And if Ottawa barely eking out a win against Atlanta and beating Carolina after losing 10 of their last 12 is good hockey...

Habs have won 5 straight against Florida I believe.

I agree. If we are really a Top5 team in the league, other teams should be expecting to lose games against us. We should go in thinking that all 5 should be won. Realistically, if it ends up being 4-1, I won't be crying.

LyleOdelein 01-16-2009 02:07 PM

5-0. Plus, Montreal beats Tampa so badly that Vinny fakes his own death, then signs with the Habs under the alias of Victor Vanderlecavalier.

Habs 4 Life 01-16-2009 02:07 PM

Looks easy on paper but I expect 5 very difficult games starting tomorrow night

WeThreeKings 01-16-2009 02:13 PM

I expect a 0-5-0, ya jinxin *****

If that's a tough road trip for the Habs we might as well give up on a playoff run already.

It doesn't mean anything.Ottawa is playing their best hockey of the year,in Atlanta you never know what to expect and then the following night in New Jersey you could almost predict a loss there just because it's the Devils and we suck down there but you never know.

The next 2 are after the All Star break and again you just don't know what to expect. The teams we are facing are nothing great but is it just a bad timing? We will know in 2 weeks from now
