Where?

Watsatheo 01-22-2009 10:36 PM

Did he say that he's going to fight Julien half naked in mud? I'd pay NOT to see that.

Le Tricolore 01-22-2009 10:37 PM

Hahahahaha, Lambert is a character.

NHL Network, it was a pretty good chat and Carbo was pretty good on his comments on the team and players.

He said that Markov reminded him of Sergei Zubov whom he played with in Dallas, a quiet player that doesn't like the lime light but is always there when you need them with that important goal. Said Markov has the potential to play 30 minutes a game.

Komisarek he said was a great partner for Markov, saying he adds the stabilty to the pairing because he is the stay at home guy.

With Price he said that he is playing better than last year and he thought he played well last year. Said his size and ability will only make him better.

Said he loves coaching Kovalev and that he enjoys talking to him about anything outside of hockey as well. Said Kovy can go missing for 35 minutes, but then can show up and win a game on his own. (Kovy going for his helicopter license now too)

Said we had great depth and that with the injuries in Koivu, Higgins and Tanguay they will be deeper and that the 2 months off will benefit them and the team because the season is long and hard on players.

Also said that players like Kovalev aren't the only one's having difficulties scoring or getting points, he said it so hard to score in the NHL now that it harder for players to get the point totals they have gotten before because of the game tapes, coaching, training, size and skill of the players in the league.

Still said we have a really close team with 10-15 guys usually going to the same restaurant together on the road for meals.

He seems happy with the team, and he is also happy to be in the All Star game because he never participated as a player.

I guess the whole team minus the old guys.

Because most of the time, they ask dumb questions.

HH 01-22-2009 11:16 PM

I love the Kovalev comment. Kovalev has been sick for 2 weeks, probably the reason for his sub-par play in the last week.

Seriously, Kovalev is a pretty cool dude. When I watched this, I became more of a fan of his.

No, they don't ask questions... they state the obvious, put the mic in the players face. Then, the player need to come up with something intelligent…

:handclap:

because they are dumb, and annoying and he does not feel the need to give them anymore than they ask for.

if you let the man do his thing and dont assult him everyday about the team, then maye he is more willing to tell you things!

Thanks for the summary!

10-15 guys going to lunch together on the road doesn't fit with their narrative.
