Go East ?

Opus 01-25-2009 03:29 PM

I know it's old news, but when you look at the starting lineups, it's both sad and pathetic.

DeadPhish5858 01-25-2009 03:49 PM

I dont like Guy Carbonneau.

If anybody cares, the AHL All Star skills competition is on: http://www.justin.tv/dman2077

dbr2 01-25-2009 04:15 PM

Is Giroux playing still?

I'm watching it.

Rory Fitzpatrick, lol.

mm6492 01-25-2009 04:19 PM

I understand he is the sub, but Martin St. Louis should not be starting.

Ovechkin-Carter-Malkin
Markov-Chara
Lundquist

Would be cool :)

not alone in that.

Opus 01-25-2009 04:40 PM

Ross won the fastest skater competition.

14.1 seconds.

BillyShoe1721 01-25-2009 04:45 PM

I'll watch it, but I could care less about the outcome. Mainly watching for Carter, and if he does well I might get a jersey.

six sigma 01-25-2009 05:16 PM

Are they sticking to the lines posted in the main board GDT?

Carter-Heater-Kovalchuk:bow:

FlyHigh 01-25-2009 05:29 PM

I got reading to do, so might as well have it on in the background.

JLHockeyKnight 01-25-2009 05:41 PM

I'm gonna start watching it 15 minutes late (thank you DVR). Hopefully I miss the opening and everything or I can just skip some commercials.

Am I the only one that thought the elimination challenge in the skills competition was really cool, even though I hate the shootout?

I thought it was a cool idea, but it didnt look like all of the players were really trying

JSTAFF 01-25-2009 05:46 PM

Carter didn't look like he was trying in the faster skater compeition or in the shootout. Hopefully he breaks a smile tonight at least, he doesn't seem to be very friendly with the guys there.

If he didn't really try in the fastest skater competition, I'm perhaps even more impressed, since he still beat four of the other guys who are supposedly among the fastest in the NHL.

Gert B Frobe 01-25-2009 06:10 PM

what is this cirque de soleil crap? next up celine dionne in the hardest nipples contest

so who do these people boo?

Tkachuk still plays? Modano? Guess they're fill-ins. Other than this being in montreal why is carbonneau coaching?

Wonder if Carter remembers getting beaned in the head by a soda bottle in this building last spring.

flyersguy33* 01-25-2009 06:14 PM

that was the worst opening ever. so ****ing dumb

chaosof99* 01-25-2009 06:18 PM

Guy Carbonneau standing in front of a home Depot sign is hilarious to me :D

AaronTrieu 01-25-2009 06:20 PM

you could hear a pin drop when they announced carters name. lol

I wonder what would happen if it was Cannon instead of Carter. After all, this is Montreal.

Opus 01-25-2009 06:21 PM

Vinny fills in as a starter, what a shocking coincidence.

JLHockeyKnight 01-25-2009 06:21 PM

Am I the only one that finds it funny that the Montreal announcer in the arena butchers every name that isn't French?

Also, not a fan of the white gloves on the West uniforms. Looks weird.

AaronTrieu 01-25-2009 06:22 PM

the music is so bad. sounds like an 80s movie there
