Gorges has a cannon! We should use him on the point!

Bill McNeal 01-27-2009 09:27 PM

Don't worry, they'll turn it around against Fl...

Aw forget it.

Hopefully something better to do comes along Thursday night.

speed11 01-27-2009 09:28 PM

we're gonna be ok...everybody just breathe...

Natural Habs Fan 01-27-2009 09:28 PM

Did we get Lecavalier yet?

LyleOdelein 01-27-2009 09:29 PM

Sickening effort from the Habs tonight. They are better than that.

At least the Lapierre line was good.

Habs_Apostle 01-27-2009 09:29 PM

Garbage. I guess they went to Florida for a vacation.

Marc the Habs Fan 01-27-2009 09:29 PM

What a bunch of pretenders. As soon as this team is faced with adversity, they fold like a cheap tent. No character at all, unless they have 6 regulars out of the lineup.

The playoffs will be the equivalent of a prison ****. A quick 2nd round exit at best. I watched some of that WAS/BOS game and it was depressing watching our game tonight in comparison.

Calling us a cup contender is an absolute travesty.

Is Plekanec still on this team?

Did the Kostitsyn brothers check out after the Ottawa game?

Hamrlik and Gorges have become AHL caliber d-man the last few games.

Watsatheo 01-27-2009 09:29 PM

So...how exactly are we going to kidnap Lecavalier? Roofers?

Montreal 4, Calgary 1.

We'll see what happens in less than 2 weeks in their barn where they're money. And if you don't think the Flames model of play is one the Habs would be better with or could adapt to, you're too trusting in the current team. These current Habs would need way better toughness AND Price standing on his head just to survive 2 rounds. As it stands, there are too many issues here and this is not an overreaction. An overreaction would be to say "We're missing the playoffs and this team needs a new coach, etc." I'm trying to approach this messy situation with reality. And the reality is, the Habs are a middle of the pack playoff team in the East.

Hell, we have 2 games in hand on 9th place Carolina and an 8 point bulge and 9 pts. on the Pens who are 10th. They're a lot closer to us than we are to Boston and teams like the Devils have zoomed past us. The only good news is that said Canes and the Flyers both lost tonight. But the wins by the Habs are the best medicine to keep up in the race. We're 5th now but keep this up in the next few (@FLA, afternoon affairs with L.A. and Boston) and we're looking 8th square in the face. The Habs have been getting worse each game since beating the Caps over 2 weeks ago. Quite literally.

too early for price to comeback?

we might try halak for couple games

Florida Thursday, LA Saturday and the Bruins Sunday.......I would normally be optimistic on the Habs winning 2 out of 3, but I'm not optimistic atm.

sheed36 01-27-2009 09:31 PM

I expected the loss to NJ but there is no way the Habs should be losing to Atlanta and Tampa.....If Carbo said he was pleased with the Habs game tonight he needs a kick where the sun doesn't shine....

If the Lappy line and O'byrne are your best players more than likely you'll lose the game.

HabFan1975 01-27-2009 09:32 PM

Carbo should've called a f@#$ time out at 3-2
Cube has no business playin in the NHL anymore
Gorges has no business on the PP
Pleks :help:
Brunet :shakehead thank god for the mute button, saved me alot of swearing tonight.

la25ecoupe 01-27-2009 09:32 PM

Can't we have two C ?

Habs 01-27-2009 09:32 PM

Dear BG,

Please get help on Defense before I punch my LCD. While you are at it, ask Hamrlik for a refund.

DaHabMan 01-27-2009 09:33 PM

luckily we have 10 ufas at the end of the year and we can reshape the roster during the offseason to be speedy but grittier...no use wasting assets on a rent-a-player, lets just go through the motions for the rest of the year reshape the roster for the coming years with the young players coming up and with well selcted ufas. were obviously not a contender for the cup thats for sure, no way in hell we beat wash or boston or nj in a 7-game series just to get to the final.

Marc the Habs Fan 01-27-2009 09:34 PM

It's a good thing we weren't able to trade 3 or 4 of our players for Lecavalier though. Clearly the team we have now is just awesome like most were suggesting here. :sarcasm:

fgators 01-27-2009 09:34 PM

habs didn't seem to have much drive, some times i truly belive a cup won't happen without a super star

Charlie Milles* 01-27-2009 09:34 PM

Be interesting to see how they come out against Boston this weekend.

habsdude 01-27-2009 09:35 PM

Its gotten to the point where I really don't look forward to games against the league's bottom dwellers. Watching the Habs play these "crappy" teams has become really depressing.

Nobody is hungry for a Cup.

Carbo should call everyone one at a time into his office and ask them:

"Answer me quick in 1 second, "DO YOU WANT THE CUP!?""

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:54 AM.
