Proposal: Habs-Caps

Now that the Caps have lost their captain and winger, Chris Clark, would a Nylander for one of our wingers make sense. I know he is having a brutal season and I imagine his salary is up there, but I understand that he is not fitting into Boudreau's system and I think he could flourish in Montreal. With Lang gone, we need a veteran center. As to the winger we would send....?

Dandenault and a turd.

Oops, sorry... a third.:sarcasm:

Washington's system is just as offense oriented as our, if not more. If Nylander can't produce there, he does not belong on the Canadiens either.

I like the guy, but he's yet another soft pass first playmaker that I do not see the need for on this roster at the moment.

Check out his salary BJG, 4.875m per for 2 more years. Are you still interested in obtaining him? ;)

Nylander should have gone to Edmonton.

I'd say give the team 5 games to evaluate. It's a move worth considering should we fail to adapt internally.

We've traded with the Caps recently.

As previously mentioned, Nylanders contract is horrible. Big no from the Habs.

No thanks...Problem is Montreal would be on the hook for his 4.8 million cap hit next year as well. They need that money to invest in Koivu and Komisarek.
