milan hedjuk

since colorado is near the bottom of the standings and is likely to sell. what would be the asking price for this dangerous pure sniper

Pure 02-11-2009 06:26 PM

mid to late first + prospect or young roster player who fits the avs' needs. but I think he will retire with us.

Exec 02-11-2009 06:26 PM

Pittsburgh would gladly take him.

Pit: Hejduk

Col: Talbot, Eaton

ncredible 02-11-2009 06:27 PM

Can he also play LW? I'd love him on the Oilers.

My goodness thats terrible. Start talking about Whitney plus. Hejduk is not just a rental, he's got another year at a sweet price of 3.9 million.

He has played some LW this year, albeit very little. Hejduk is so versatile though, that he could probably do it.

This is all moot since I highly, highly doubt Hejduk gets traded this year, if at all, since he's got another year on his deal.

You created an account to put that comment on here??

Joey Moss 02-11-2009 06:43 PM

Chorney and a 1st.

HabsKing 02-11-2009 07:10 PM

Montreal would give you Higgins, O'bryne and a 2nd and probably some more :handclap:

falconski 02-11-2009 07:23 PM

more than you're willing to pay most likely

Ensane 02-11-2009 07:27 PM

There's no indications that Colorado wants to shop him, since he does have one more year left and has said he wants to remain an Av, but if they did put him on the open market, I could easily see a bidder war taking place.

A bad post, but Whitney plus? :O
That's ridiculous.

His sweet price of 3.9 million isn't as great as it seems; he is almost double the cost of Antropov, with one more point...

That is a great deal for Pitt
Milan Hejduk is a great player playing on a bad team, but he has been their before and knows what it takes to win, and he has hit 70 + points 5 times including 98 in 02-03
I would give up whitney for him, and this is coming from a wings fan Oo.

1st and Raymond from Van............not sure if that is enough or ?...maybe O'Brien too.

Zero interest in Raymond and SOB.

And trading Duke within the division is probably a bad idea. Avs really need a high end prospect or defensive help.

chet1926 02-11-2009 10:53 PM

It is going to be hard to trade the Duke cause of his NTC he would have to approve any trade. I also think the only way the Avs trade him is with drastic overpayment. It will be interesting to see if he stays or if he goes, if we are too far out of it I think there is a good possibility he goes.

How many Rocket Richards does Antropov have? How many +/- awards does Antropov have? How many 70+ point seasons does Antropov have? How many 35+ goal seasons does Antropov have? How many consecutive 20 goal seasons does Antropov have? How many Stanley Cups does Antropov have? Hejduk is also a very good two-way player who can kill penalties very effectively. Do I need to continue? 31 out of 30 GMs would choose Hejduk over Antropov.

Exactly. Hejduk and Smyth are the only 2 keeping this team from being in the Tavares sweepstakes. They are carrying our team.

Hejduk will cost alot to get, since he has another year on his deal and is a former rocket richard winner who is usually good for 30 goals a year.

If he plays with a center like Crosby or Malkin, expect 50 goals from him.

lefty2time* 02-12-2009 12:06 AM

Hejduk is one of the most dangerous scorers in the league....he's sorta fallen off many ppl's radars because the Avs havnt done very well as of late.
On a good line on a good team he'd put up 40......with superstar players on his line he could pot 50.
Whoever compared him to Antropov should not be allowed to post LOL

thedoctor 02-12-2009 12:25 AM

the quality of offers here is probably why Hejduk won't be moved. you'd have to severely overpay to get him. Seriously, Higgins + a pick? Good Lord.

Staal for Hejduk is an interesting thought from a CO perspective. Probably not happening since Avs don't need a center though.

jdpitt05 02-12-2009 12:32 AM

Hejduk would be a great winger for Sid. But our 2 main trade pieces (Whitney/Staal) are both signed long term for 4 million/yr and are 20 and 25 years old respectively. With Hejduk at 32 and only 1 more year left, a 1:1 swap isn't ideal for the Penguins.

A deal for Hejduk would have to be evened out with players/picks/prospects.

HNIC 02-12-2009 12:51 AM

He's one of those consistent under the radar players, you don't hear much about him so people tend to underestimate is true value. I think Whitney for him would be pretty fair. No way Avs would trade him, maybe next year IF they are out of the playoff picture and unable to sign him.
