Schneider's first game; Habs PP 3 for 4

Impressions on his first game?

He was probably our best D tonight, played great and the PP went 3 for 4.

mlandry 02-18-2009 09:22 PM

Good tonight, I won't judge him on 1 game though. Let's see how he plays for a few weeks first.

Selanne08* 02-18-2009 09:24 PM

pretty weak showing by the caps.. nonetheless he looked good. and surprise surprise the pp was good. i think it might have more to do with no kovalev dancing with the puck

He is an addition :handclap:

Mise en echec 02-18-2009 09:24 PM

Real solid :yo:

Hab's best D of the game

Iwishihadacup 02-18-2009 09:24 PM

I suppose Plekanec's play have nothing to do wth it?

Schneider was good, but he was not alone

le_sean 02-18-2009 09:24 PM

An absolute beast in OT. Played very well the entire game.

Macs 02-18-2009 09:25 PM

Oh I agree, but do you think Schneider's shot presence makes the PKers put more pressure on him leaving the guys down low more room and space to make plays? That is how it was last year.

Yes I know, but he is old. I just want to see if he's going to get burned out or not. Only time will tell.

JudasPriced 02-18-2009 09:26 PM

Props to Schneider. Hope he can continue to make an impact for us for a long time.

habsdude 02-18-2009 09:27 PM

I was impressed. Kept his game simple and played solid, not to mention the minutes he logged. He exceeded my expectations i had for him.

Thumbs up to the Schnyde!:thumbu:

JAVO16 02-18-2009 09:27 PM

Schneider played very well, but I hope Hamrlik isn't injured.

Whitesnake 02-18-2009 09:29 PM

27 minutes....like the #27....;)

Erik Estrada 02-18-2009 09:30 PM

Kudos to Schneider!

cap10bfl 02-18-2009 09:33 PM

cant believe clowns like gaston therrien, le baron, or even jacques demers say schneider is only a 5th or 6th defenseman and THAT HE IS AS GOOD AS BRISEBOIS

completely ridiculous, what a game matty!!!

kovaless 02-18-2009 09:34 PM

Great now our pp is awesome but out 5 on 5 sucks
Jk good game by the habs

Ross MacLochness 02-18-2009 09:35 PM

So refreshing to see a guy not **** his pants every time he has to make a decision with the puck. Solid second pairing guy.

This is exactly why our PP was good tonight. Schneider's presence on the blue line opens up the box, gives our guys more time to set up along the half wall. What do you, two goals resulting from space and time on the half wall.

The box opens up a lot because of the potential shot.

Travis Moen 02-18-2009 09:37 PM

Even Josh Gorges looked awesome paired with Markov...

Mustafa* 02-18-2009 09:38 PM

He played solid defensivly, ans that's what i was hoping for.

Maybe our PP looked better because Sergei K and Alex Kovalev werent playing...

Looked real solide! :handclap:

At the time, Gorges was playing awesome no matter who he was with. I don't know if it's because of that Gauthier hit, but since the New Year he hasn't looked as good as he did earlier this season + last season

He was overused and was pressured with the PP and all. Now he's off the PP, can concentrate on his game like last year and earlier this year.
