Current Value of Roloson(edm)

With the way Roloson has been playing recently he has to generate some serious interest for a playoff team.

Vet who's contract will be off the books soon.
Proven playoff performer
Playing like a number one.Able to be #2.

What do you think a team like Phi,Wsh,Det or Buf be willing to offer for him?

none of the teams u listed would want him. All their current goalies are better than roloson

I doubt they would offer enough for the Oilers to give up on trying to make the playoffs.

Teams that expect to contend have been known from time to time to upgrade the depth of their goaltending for the playoffs, among other positions. He doesn't have to be the best for them to want him. Though I would debate hm not being better than what WSH and DEt have this season, and especially recently.

One more injury and they won't have a choice but to give it up.

Disagree. Grebs is coming back this week and we've got lots of forwards. The Oilers are far from giving up and wont' be trading Rollie for a pick when he's playing so well for us.+

I'd rather start Enroth then bring back Roloson.

Buffalo won't be making the playoffs. So it's really a moot point.

Roloson's worth what an idiot will pay

Lord Daftwager 02-27-2009 12:54 PM

Roli would be a terrific pick up for Washington or Detroit. He's been the Oilers best player this season, and can get it done in the playoffs.
Will probably play another year or 2 around $2M/yr.

Nunymare 02-27-2009 12:58 PM

If the Oilers trade Roli, then we are pretty much ****ed.

He has been out cornerstone for the year, and has been playing VERY well, lately.

I can't see the Oilers trading him. If anything he will be traded in the Offseason. The only place he would be going, is to a East team like Toronto, Montreal or Either NY team. Gene Princepe mentioned in an earlier PPV game, he has family in the east.

So we're going to trade an UFA. I wonder what we'd get for negotiating rights to rollie. Maybe a 7th round pick in 2025
