Should Julien rest some of the regulars?

The upcoming back to back sets with 3 days between games would be a great opportunity, esp now that we can carry the expanded roster.

Look at it this way: realistically we are a lock for 7th place, unless NJ really tanks it. Even if we did sneak into 6th we still have no control over who gets 2nd or 3rd seed anyway.

I'd like to see the guys that are for sure going to get into every playoff game (Koivu, Zed, Kovalev, Ribiero, Theodore, Rivet, Brisebois, etc.) get recharged for the playoffs, esp. after a typically brutal season of highs and lows in Montreal.

Isn't it a league rule that you have to put out the best line-up you can every game?

I believe there is something to that effect. But then we have (for example) Gonchars recent 7 day bout with the flu. Recall how Scotty B always found ways to rest his key guys late in the season?

Minor groin pulls or food poisoning, anyone?

Just make up a story about some players having a bad cold.

I'm sure CJ is well aware of who needs some rest...

Besides, this late in the season, most players bare some small injuries that doesn't affect their game too much. Rarely is a player at 100%. No need to make up injuries, they probably have some already that can be used to sit a game here and there.

You should tell that to washington and the rangers ! Many teams ahead and behind the habs are gonna play them, while the habs will have to face teams better than them in the standing or fighting to get in (Buffalo twice + the Isles)
