Ersberg Signs 2 year, 1.5MM Contract Extension

Heard Jim Fox on NHL Network say it.

Reaper45 03-04-2009 11:09 AM

We have a trade deadline thread already.

hans 03-04-2009 11:09 AM

Yea, trade deadline thread. This is not a trade, it's an ext. and I think it deserves it's own thread.

Knight of the Realm 03-04-2009 11:15 AM

Think he earned it, there's a place for him in Manchester if Bernier or another goalie steals his spot with LA.

It would be too much money for Ersberg.... Hope this isn't the right numbers...?

VictoryRose 03-04-2009 11:34 AM

2yrs/2.75

Chruceg 03-04-2009 11:35 AM

If anybody has info on whether or not this is a one way or two way contract it would be greatly appreciated.

Buddy The Elf 03-04-2009 11:36 AM

Yay! Glad to see he'll be around. If I'm not mistaken, he'll be 17 by the time this contract ends.

If those are the numbers, 1.375/year it's great! I guess it's a 2way contract... Well I hope so!

deano 03-04-2009 11:41 AM

I'll give a guess and say two years @ 1.2 per year on a one way deal.

TonySCV 03-04-2009 11:52 AM

Erik Ersberg signed for two years, $1.5 million (combined).

$750k annually? Wow.

Well, this is perfect IMO. I think Bernier is gonna be with the club next season, it will be either Ersberg or Quick in LA with Bernier.

Live in the Now 03-04-2009 11:56 AM

Yeah, that's a wow deal.

I think he could have gotten double that easily as a free-agent...
Wow good signing Lombardi

I think this number comes close.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's even lower.
