Tiebreakers - From NHL.com
1. The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).
2. The greater number of games won.
3. The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
4. The greater differential between goals for and against for the entire regular season.

actually I was surprised a couple years ago when some teams only broadcast something like 60 games. It is crazy I had always thought all the games were broadcasted, except when the Hawks had no home games televised. I suppose we are just lucky here in Dallas. I think NYI and even SJ don't broadcast all their games. Could be wrong though

Chad_ 03-04-2009 09:41 PM

Thanks, Modo, for a new word.

Yeah, it's a bit surprising there isn't television or radio coverage of the Kings, but are you sure that's accurate?

Figured Chicago was the last of the teams that didn't broadcast them all. Crazy.

Totally off subject but just looked at Razor's blog.

no tv listed on LAK website, only radio. sucks for them

Chad_ 03-04-2009 09:47 PM

And I misread it to read no TV and Radio. Still, that sucks.

DaStars99 03-04-2009 09:51 PM

I just looked through their website
They broadcast 65 games only 10 in HD

Fail Fail Fail.

Hull Fan 03-04-2009 10:25 PM

It's no wonder they have issues. Only 10 in HD is criminal. WTH? Fox broadcasts their games, are you telling me they don't have enough cameras or technical trucks/stations to broadcast any more?

Heck the Dodgers and Angels probably reach that number in the first two weeks of the season. Unbelievable. Thank god FSSW isn't that stupid.

Captain Awesome 03-04-2009 10:28 PM

Yep FSSW sucks, the picture is horrendous even for an HD one. I can't believe they're not televising this one, it'll be one I probably won't get to see. At least I got to see the SJ game though, that was awesome.

Stars99Lobo37 03-04-2009 10:29 PM

We really are lucky with the Stars and they way FSN has broadcasted their games.

BTW, Detroit knocks off Colorado 3-2 in regulation.

FSN West you mean. Or Prime Ticket or whatever they call it out there.

FSSW is awesome down here most the time...except when women's basketball precedes Stars games.

I worried that might not be a universal expression right after I posted it. It means I like your lines.

So the Kings will be without Patty O'Sullivan going forward. I consider that a positive for us. It's fairly amusing how they develop all these players and then promptly proceed to give them away.

I'll be more than happy to take Dustin Brown off their hands if they would like us to. :)
