"This Is It" - 04.10.09 - Nashville @ Minnesota

:nashville @ :wild

Pretty straightforward. If we win, we're still alive, and Minnesota are out of it. If we lose and St. Louis win, then we're both out.

I was almost tempted to make a GDT for the St. Louis-Columbus game... :dunno:

This GDT brought to you by the fine folks at Pepsi.

More information may not be forthcoming. Do not stay tuned...

I actually saw a funnel cloud in Spring Hill, pretty scary stuff.

WIN WIN WIN. That's all.

Bourdon 04-10-2009 01:40 PM

If the game is tied late, Minnesota will pull their goaltender for an extra attacker. They need a regulation win to stay in the race. I think it bodes well for the Preds if they can get themselves into at least this type of situation.

We still need help and a win. What a finish by this team, regardless.

jstreet 04-10-2009 02:40 PM

at least Miiny is more desperate than us, hopefully we get a lead, they open up, Rinne eats his wheaties, and we leave with the W.

I'd join you for a Blues GDT but I wont be close to Center Ice or the internet tonight.

Joe T Choker 04-10-2009 04:41 PM

just do it!

yoshigg 04-10-2009 05:18 PM

yeah, I work at the ascend on clark in the boro. saw it coming through the drive through window while hf was pulled up. had to run into the vault but it missed us by half a mile. lol.

now i just want to go home, relax, and watch the game

jstreet 04-10-2009 05:25 PM

one more time, baby!

darth5 04-10-2009 07:07 PM

My brother in Rockvale lost power, but no damage to us here is Smyrna.

Dr Grant 04-10-2009 07:08 PM

Cmon Preds win this. Hopefully STL loses tonight.

Soundgarden 04-10-2009 07:17 PM

WOOH!!! Arnott. 1-0

Seth Lake 04-10-2009 07:27 PM

Beautiful shift by the top line, used the forecheck several times to keep the puck alive, then Sully finally gets a pass through, Arnott is able to knock it down and put a bouncing shot past Backstrom! 1-0 Preds!

32nd goal of the season for Arnott - NEW FRANCHISE RECORD!

Seth Lake 04-10-2009 07:33 PM

Count it as a power play goal...

Nichol gave up on the play after seeing the call was being made, then his teammates followed. Klein pinched to try to get the touch, but was beaten, then DeVries had no chance catching Fritsche on the breakaway. 1-1...

Enoch 04-10-2009 07:37 PM

Since coming back, Arnott has 5 goals and 2 assists.......this is in 3 games and 15 minutes. Oh Captain my captain.....

Soundgarden 04-10-2009 07:44 PM

@$%!ing small cokes.:banghead:

golfmade 04-10-2009 07:47 PM

There a feed for the game?

Blues up 2-0, FFS!!! :rant::rant:

Seth Lake 04-10-2009 07:55 PM

Pekka is attacking pucks, not absorbing them and is leaving rebounds because of that. He needs to settle down and play under control. Simplify his game.

We need to have a commitment from all four lines to chip the puck in deep and forecheck when they can't carry it through the neutral zone with speed. Too many neutral zone turnovers. Need to out Wild the Wild. Tighten up the defense, get pucks deep, use our forecheck to create turnovers, capitalize off those turnovers...

The intermission came at a great time. Allows us to go back into the locker room and regroup. 2nd periods have been a struggle for us, so need to tighten up, try to limit the ebbs and flows of momentum, and survive the second period at worst trailing by a goal.

can we hit the reset button on today?

Down 3-1 to Detroit is one thing, down 3-1 to the Wild is another. Unbelievably sloppy play from the Preds tonight.

Joe T Choker 04-10-2009 08:31 PM

Hamhuis for Interference ? ... awesome ... I want Tootoo off this team

PredDave 04-10-2009 08:34 PM
