Official Game Thread - Rangers @ Penguins 3/21

Not much to watch anymore, but hopefully some of the young guys (Lundmark, Balej, Murray, etc.) can get some points under their belts. I dont mind winning games as long as the kids are the ones contributing.

Post 'em if you got 'em.

charliemurphy 03-21-2004 02:00 PM

Let's roll...
Come on, give it to me, give it to me...Daddy needs another big loss.

Melrose_Jr. 03-21-2004 02:18 PM

That goal was for you charliemurphy. ;)

Poor job by Tjutin down low.

Clarence Swamptown 03-21-2004 02:24 PM

If all goes according to plan , Dunham should be bounced by the beginning of the 2nd period.....Can't they put the Hartford games on instead.....

Clarence Swamptown 03-21-2004 02:36 PM

2 goals , 2 posts ,so far ,They're beating us to every puck and we are running around defensively,,, I think we are looking at a 5-2, 6-2 loss here........

another fantastic start for the rangers :handclap:

Messier speared Strbak after Strbak cross checked him. Messier gets kicked out and it will be reviewed by the league.

He went down as if he was shot and I do not blame him.

Clarence Swamptown 03-21-2004 03:14 PM

I bet Mess is Hoping for an 8 game suspension,,,,Get a Headstart on packing up the gear!

Ranger Blue 03-21-2004 03:37 PM

Best thing to happen in the game so far. Messier getting tossed. Here's hoping they suspend his butt. Way to show the young guys how to play the game Mark. :handclap:

Petemo 03-21-2004 03:51 PM

GARTH!!!!! finally!!

DARTH SATHER 03-21-2004 03:52 PM

Congrats to Garth, hopefully he scores a lot more.

Petemo 03-21-2004 03:52 PM

hahaha

Clarence Swamptown 03-21-2004 04:08 PM

Is Sandy McCarthy getting any ice time?

polako 03-21-2004 04:14 PM

not much... i guess they do not want to waste his talents on even strength, him being the power play monster that his.

Edge 03-21-2004 04:16 PM

oh you mean the same Sandy who ducked a fight the other night?

Playing is such a generous word.......

I think Sandra needs to get back on the juice, put back the extra 30 pounds he shed and start playing like someone who looks like he gives a damn about hockey again.

I've never seen a fighter fall so far.

Some guys just can't chuck em anymore, but Sandy legitimatly looks afraid.....of everyone. I seriously think he can't do it mentally anymore.....at all.

But hey at least Garth is dropping em.

As for the Messier comments, the guy is playing solid. You people are made at him for taking an aggressive penalty? What the heck do you think defined his career. The guy has 40 points on the season and a plus rating, I may not be in the majority here but personally I don't mind.

Mark Pavelich 03-21-2004 04:20 PM

3-3 Great pass great finish......Phoenix is 2-2 starting OT with a 1 min powerplay

Clarence Swamptown 03-21-2004 04:25 PM

Sandy's had those concussion problems this year ,, so I really cant blame him ,,He should be thinking European leagues next year ---LaCouture has'nt really fought after his,,,,Tarnstrom just became my favorite Penguin ,,,Penguins 3 Rangers 3 ,,,Come On Pens

Clarence Swamptown 03-21-2004 04:32 PM

Yes,,,Pens Win

vbox81 03-21-2004 04:33 PM

Thank god the PK came through with one less point than we needed

Mark Pavelich 03-21-2004 04:33 PM

Pens 4-3...I nearly had the big one when I heard that the Pens pulled their goalie.

Phoenix ties 2-2...they missed a 3 on 0 in OT.

Hire Sather 03-21-2004 04:34 PM

Wow.. my first thoughts after the Mironov penalty "hmm.. pens should pull the goalie"

and they did :D

LondonFan 03-21-2004 04:42 PM

I'm with Egde - whilst Messier hasn't been gold, he has been one of the least of our problems. And you can never say he doesn't want to win.

Son of Steinbrenner 03-21-2004 04:48 PM

I wonder how many of your 1,300 posts are just like this one.

Anyway, Phoneix at least got a point. We just need them to actually win one now.
