Reinprecht is a really good completely player.

He'll be a valuable asset in Florida.

Macke* 06-19-2009 11:26 AM

Such huge news.

Coyotoes Re-Sign Petr Prucha

At the very bottom of the Meyer-Reinprecht swap article, this is mentioned

The Coyotes have also signed forward Petr Prucha to a two-year deal.

Big deals all around the NHL. Best.Day.Ever.

caley 06-19-2009 11:28 AM

Pretty good move for Florida. Dispatch a depth player for the rights to Reinprecht, then sign him to a 3-year deal.

SK13 06-19-2009 11:29 AM

Good pick-up for Florida.

Meyer might be a Journeyman player, but Reinprecht makes them deeper and better right now.

Phoenix is going to be bleeding internally for awhile.

Won't be surprised if Doan is gone soon.

I wasnt really paying attention and thought this was for NYI's Freddy Meyer. What kind of upside does Stefan has, he's still quite young.

Almost none.

lol, funny watching everyone get worked up. This place is going to implode once Bouw is moved.

Good deal for the Cats.

I don't think he'll ever make it in the NHL, but who knows.

SLAPSHOT723 06-19-2009 11:33 AM

That's a nice deal.

SouvenirCity 06-19-2009 11:34 AM

Nice signing for Phoenix, even though a little part of me was hoping he'd be a ranger next season.

Teemu 06-19-2009 11:35 AM

So here's the culmination of that "big announcement", eh?

Reinprecht was UFA at July 1st...Phoenix traded his rights and they receive a good utility player... it's not the beginning of a firesale...

A decent AHL depth player. Meyer wasn't going to make the club here as he's been passed on the depth chart by guys like Kamil Kreps, Janis Sprukts (if he doesn't go back to Europe) and Shawn Matthias. If he wasn't going to crack the lineup in Florida, that should tell you what Phoenix just got.

I think this is great for Florida. A solid 2-way forward that can play any forward position, although he will be our 2nd line center likely with Frolik. Plus he's good at faceoffs which we needed to improve.

flannelman 06-19-2009 11:54 AM

reinpretch can help Florida if they can resign him - what did he make last year, 2.1?
