Bauer Vapor X:30 Sr. Hockey Skate Question
Any thoughts on these from the knowledgable folks here. I have some old Bauer Supreme 6000's I have been skating in. Looking for any opinions. I assume I would wear the same size. I also assume nothing too drastic on the lean of the skate either vs Supreme. I am 40 yrs old and skate twice a week in league, former D2 player. Thanks

the supreme 6000 is a different line of skate. you may take the same size but it probably wont fit the same. ive heard the new vapors are a bit wider than the old vapors but that still doesnt mean it will fit like your 6000s. as far as teh pitch, the x60 is pitched forward a bit more than it was but it shouldnt throw you off and you should adjust fine. the only question is the fit. the x30 is a mid line skate, it wont have teh bells and whistles of the x60 and i dotn think it is bakeable

The size in length may be the same, it may not be since the fit has been changed over the years, and I would say it's a pretty sure bet that the boot will fit differently. Bauer has always had different fits on the Supreme and Vapor lines, and unless they swapped the fits at some point, You could be in trouble.

Vapors are narrow, but have a little more depth then they used to. Normal ankle. Supremes these days have a wider fit and a deeper one.

The best advice is to go somewhere where you can try them on.

I appreciate the coomments. Our local shop is pretty weak and very expensive. I would feel guilty trying them on only to buy online

unless the shop is a p.o.s. you should be able to order through them.

offer to pay internet price for the skates (hockeymonkey) price, and if they wont order it then you'll just get the skates somewhere else. cost is $135, after shipping it would be $145ish. offer $190 for them. if they don't want to order it just say they'll be losing 40 dollars and that they should just order them to keep you happy. if they still refuse just leave and get them on the net.
