Awesome. Loved him when he was a Hitman.

GKJ 07-01-2009 08:53 PM

Good for him, surprised he stayed over here actually.

asparkoflife 07-01-2009 08:53 PM

Good signing for CGY. I loved him in NY

Dredden 07-01-2009 08:53 PM

Top penalty killer good for the Flames!

Thefalkon 07-01-2009 08:54 PM

Good signing by the Flames, was a good 3rd/4th liner here in NY.

ParisSaintGermain 07-01-2009 08:55 PM

I am glad for him, should be a good fit

Chris 84 07-01-2009 08:55 PM

Really good player, hope he does well in Calgary.

KiwiFlamesFan 07-01-2009 08:56 PM

Not a bad signing. Should fit in on the 3rd line with Moss moving into the top 6.

FromDubiToZherdev* 07-01-2009 08:57 PM

You'll love him Flames fans!

Systemfel 07-01-2009 08:58 PM

I knew it!

Speedtrials 07-01-2009 08:59 PM

Great penalty killer and a real stand up guy. Freddie gave his all for the Rangers, this was a nice pickup.

danno2530 07-01-2009 08:59 PM

Good for Sjo. Nice fourth liner, he will be popular in Calgary. I wish him luck.

kyle evs48 07-01-2009 09:01 PM

He's got wheels

Trav 07-01-2009 09:02 PM

Nice signing :) he's going back to familiar surroundings.

jeremywilhelm 07-01-2009 09:02 PM

Basically the ideal 4th liner. He is lightning quick, is a monster on the PK, is a great forechecker, isn't afraid to get physical, and can create offense by himself and is good for 5-8 goals in a season.

Freddy is the man but we simply didn't have room for him.

jeremywilhelm 07-01-2009 09:09 PM

Sounds like a better Eric Nystrom

Really? If you knew Sjöström you'd know he's not a person who gives up easily, he would never accept going back to Sweden at this age.

Does this mean no Boyd? :(

indigosurf 07-01-2009 09:25 PM

Dude, I LOVE Sjostrom, he'll be a good fit here. Seeing as Bourque is now most likely to be a Top 6 forward for us, I'm sure he'll be seeing less PK time due to more minutes aswell as helping out on the PP.

Awesome signing by Sutter! But now this looks as though Dustin Boyd is as good as gone, I think.

Are you kidding me? Boydo is part of the future of the franchise, he'll be locked up next.
