Kings 2009-2010 Regular Season Schedule Released

Here's to hoping it wasn't just lip service by DL and Jeff Solomon when they said they pushed the NHL (and AEG) to improve the home/road game balance of the schedule this year.

It's scheduled to be released at approximately 3PM PDT.

Not really, I'm getting tired of the front loaded home schedule.

That was one of the reasons I switched to partial season seats this last year. I saw the schedule and to have multiple stretches where I would have had to go to 8-9 games in two weeks as a full STH was just too much. I love Kings hockey. I don't love it that much.

If the schedule were more balanced I'd consider going back to a full season, especially considering that the other reason I switched to a half season (the team likely sucking) has been addressed as well. :)

The Kings home opener will be Saturday, October 3rd at 7:30PM vs. the Coyotes. Ticketmaster has a Kings Opener and Hockey Fest package that will be made available starting at noon.

Doesn't the season always start the week after Frozen Fury?

DeeMeck 07-15-2009 02:32 PM

last year it was 2 weekends after...its because of the olympic year im sure...

DAkings20 07-15-2009 02:33 PM

yeah the season is starting earlier because of the 2 week break the Olympics will create.

DAkings20 07-15-2009 02:48 PM

Looks like we will be going to the east early in the season this year, http://blogs.newsobserver.com/canes/...dule-out-today.

I wonder if they will boo Jack:sarcasm:

schedules up!

JBernierFan 07-15-2009 03:06 PM

WOOT! Just bought tickets to the season opener. I'm stoked. Didn't get to go to any home games last year (I live in San Diego).

Kings man 4 life 07-15-2009 03:08 PM

Nice Schedule! We got some balance finally!

DAkings20 07-15-2009 03:09 PM

9 out of the last 15 games at home which is nice and it looks like the 3 eastern teams we play home and away are; Rangers, Islanders and Bruins.

Cutty Sarkn3ss* 07-15-2009 03:12 PM

Wow, big road trip right at the start of the season. . that works good for us. I'd rather see the team play on the road more in the beginning of the season than the end.

DeeMeck 07-15-2009 03:12 PM

looks like Bruins, Isles, and Rangers are our wild card east teams

DAkings20 07-15-2009 03:13 PM

other highlights for me; Pitt in LA on Nov. 5th, Was in LA on Jan. 2nd and we play at Toronto Jan. 26th.

JMFJ 3 07-15-2009 03:15 PM

I'm impressed, lots of home games after January 1st.

DAkings20 07-15-2009 03:17 PM

holy **** Vancouver has a 14 game road trip thats broken up by the olympic break but still 14 games!

kovacro 07-15-2009 03:17 PM

Guys , how has mid week attendence been the last few years. I'm coming down from Canada in early Oct. and I would like to grab tix for the game on Oct. 8 versus Minny. Should I try to grab them once single game tickets become available on-line or should I wait a few weeks before to grab seats?

Thanks

Cool - and the Kings will still be in first place on the 3rd!

Some season, the NHL will schedule the Kings vs. Ducks for the last game of the season, and it will impact playoff spots for both teams.

...and I'm glad to see that they moved the season start back to the 1st weekend in October. Moving it back means that when the NHL and NBA playoffs are both going, hockey is usually a series ahead of basketball. I didn't like both finals being at the same time last season.

DeeMeck 07-15-2009 03:19 PM

2 of the 3 long road trips are in Oct and Nov...this is good.
