$
.....

NYR Viper 08-04-2009 06:13 PM

That wouldnt be enough for Kessel.

HankTheTankYoLo 08-04-2009 06:14 PM

Maybe Dubinsky,voros 2 nd pick 3 d pick and a prospects?

frankthefrowner 08-04-2009 06:18 PM

lol no one wants voros.. not even us.

darko 08-04-2009 06:19 PM

Ok lets say Boston accepts it. That would leave us with Drury on top line, AA on 2nd, Arnason on 3rd and Boyle on 4th. Higgins can also play C but is a much better winger. What if AA struggles early? Man we would be screwed then. Dubi stays...

Yes but he can play C and then the team:

Callahan - kessel - Gabby
Kotalik - Drury - Higgins
Avery - Anisimov - Lisin
Brasher - Boyle - Voros

:yo::yo::yo::yo:

If your trade went through, there is a problem with this lineup. Can you figure out what it is?

FLYLine24 08-04-2009 06:32 PM

That is a terrible proposal.

Sorry Boston fans who clicked this thread.

Yeah, his 4th line RW happened to be traded away to acquire his 1st line C.

Banks3rdLineCenter 08-04-2009 06:40 PM

Ridiculous.

Fletch 08-04-2009 06:42 PM

Boston ain't doing it, and the Rangers get weaker at center since ideally you'd have Kessel on the wing.

Mjollnir9* 08-04-2009 06:43 PM

Again... If Sather intended to trade Dubinsky, Dany Heatley would be a New York Ranger. Bet. :help:

SkerZ 08-04-2009 06:43 PM

This thread is beat

Ps..We keep Dubi I'm hopeing for a thread with a link to a multi year deal soon..

FutureGM97 08-04-2009 06:44 PM

Why o why? If the Rangers had depth at center then i would agree with this...but they don't so no thanks.

GWOW 08-04-2009 06:46 PM

No way Boston does that deal, cap or no cap. I watched Kessel play about 120 games over the last two seasons and he has shown he can take over a game with his speed and puck handling.

Let's not forget that he was the consensus 1st overall pick for months until Johnson stepped up and took it.

Dubinsky, a 1st and 2nd might be too good to turn down for Boston, but I don't see it happening

substitute rissmiller for dubinsky and remove the pick and um....... throw in betts just for giggles and we may have a deal. :naughty:

:shakehead

seriously, kessel really doesnt help if we take dubi out.

Garfinkel1 08-04-2009 06:47 PM

I would rather trade Dubinsky in a trade for Savard. But idealy it just won't happen. I found that out the hard way :(
